XipFax lets an assistant look up IRS office fax numbers, quote a fax price, and produce a pre-filled link to XipFax's send screen.
What you can do
Find the IRS office fax number for a form or notice by name or number, optionally with a state
Quote the price of a single fax of a given page count without a plan
Generate a link that opens XipFax's send screen with an IRS office or a US, territory or Canada fax number filled in
When to use it
Useful when someone needs to fax a form or notice to the IRS and wants the correct office number and price before sending. The assistant handles lookup and pricing; the person finishes sending, signing in and paying on XipFax's own screen.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.xipfax.com over streamable HTTP; no package, environment variable or header is declared. The tools themselves need no sign-in, but the person must sign in and pay on XipFax's send screen to actually send a fax.
Before you install
The server does not send faxes itself: it returns a link where the person adds pages, signs in and pays, so costs are incurred on XipFax. Fax numbers and prices come from XipFax's lists of IRS offices and prices, so verify them before relying on them for a filing. No credentials are requested by the tools.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.xipfax%2Ffax/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Finds the fax number of the IRS office that takes a form or a notice, from XipFax’s list of offices, read from the IRS’s own pages. Give the form or the notice by its name or number alone, such as Form 2848, SS-4 or CP2000. Where the IRS gives a number for each state, give the place too.
