ZERO PARADES skills, thoughts, items, characters, places, checks, dialogue and planner links

Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only MCP server that lets an assistant look up ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies game records — skills, items, characters, places, checks and dialogue — from…

What you can do
  • Look up a term and get the best matching records with page slugs, URLs and preview facts
  • Search records, checks, dialogue and editorial pages by query, kind, page and locale
  • Fetch a single record by kind and stable id, returning game fields and a localized page projection
  • Browse published page projections by kind, 50 per page, following nextPage
  • Build a prefilled planner URL from validated thought ids and phases, without saving a build
When to use it
Useful when someone wants an assistant to answer questions about ZERO PARADES game content — builds, skills, items, characters, locations or dialogue — or to assemble a planner link, without leaving the chat to browse the site.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process and needs Node.js 22 or later; no account or API key is required for public requests. The README shows running it from source with node or via npx once published. Network access to zeroparadesdb.com is needed. ZEROPARADES_BASE is only for testing another HTTP origin and should normally be left unset.
Before you install
All tools are read-only lookups and the planner link is not saved, so no game data is changed. Requests go to the third-party site zeroparadesdb.com. Raw fields may contain English names and internal enum labels even for localized requests, and a null page means no translation exists, so answers should rely on the localized page fields.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Zero Parades database in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Tools

ToolInputs and answer
lookupA term returns the best matching records with canonical page slugs, URLs and preview facts.
searchA query, optional kind, page and locale use the site's search over records, checks and dialogue. Results contain stable ids, names and canonical page slugs/URLs.
get_recordA kind and stable id from search return actual game fields, a localized page projection and preview facts.
list_entitiesA kind, optional page and locale browse published page projections, 50 per page. Continue with nextPage until it is null.
planner_linkValidated thought ids/phases and an optional focus skill produce a prefilled planner URL without saving a build.

locale is optional and defaults to en. Other values are es-419, de, ru and zh-cn. get_record and list_entities use these kinds:

text
skill, item, character, task, thought, status-effect, achievement, persona, progression-unit, district, waypoint, location,interior-location, lore

Search also covers checks and dialogue, as well as editorial and tool pages. It returns 50 results per page; use its pages value to continue with page. A query with no match returns empty results. An invalid page, unknown record or failed HTTP request returns an MCP tool error with readable text. Every successful result is present in MCP text content.

Read record values

Use stable id for lookup, not the page slug. Cold Read is id affect, while its English page slug is cold-read. In German the same record has the page name Cold Reading and slug cold-reading.

Raw fields can contain English names and internal enum labels even on a localized request. Use page.name, page.description and card for localized wording. A null page means that the API publishes no page for that record in that language; the server preserves the null rather than inventing a translation or link.

Keep modifier types and their affected fields separate. An item's list cost does not establish the paid price in a dialogue transaction, and a co-occurring character is not necessarily a vendor. The server reports only what the public API exposes.

Run

From this directory:

sh
npm installnode src/server.mjs

After npm publication, configure an MCP client with:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "zeroparadesdb": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "zeroparadesdb-mcp"]    }  }}

Before publication, use node with an absolute path to src/server.mjs, or install a local package tarball and use its zeroparadesdb-mcp executable. There is no compilation step.

Set ZEROPARADES_BASE only to test another HTTP origin. Returned page links retain the production origin. Ordinary clients leave it unset.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
