Overview
AI-generated overview
Lets an assistant send faxes from chat using prepaid SofortFax credits, with one credit covering one fax of up to 40 pages.
- What it does
- SofortFax is a remote MCP endpoint that lets an assistant send faxes directly from an AI chat. Sending is paid for with prepaid credits, where one credit equals one fax of up to 40 pages. Destinations include Germany, Austria and around 40 other countries.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to dispatch a fax to a recipient without leaving the chat, for example sending a signed document or form to a German or Austrian number. It is aimed at occasional fax sending rather than high-volume or automated document pipelines.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP connection to the SofortFax endpoint over streamable HTTP. An API key passed in the X-API-Key header, obtained from the KI-Credits email after purchasing credits. Credits must be bought in advance; no local runtime or package is needed.
Before you install
Sending consumes prepaid credits, so each fax has a real cost. The X-API-Key header carries a secret that should be kept private. Faxes are transmitted to third-party recipients and processed by the SofortFax service, so consider what document content you are sending.
