Capture, read, mark up and edit screenshots and recordings in Clack for Mac. Needs the Clack app.
Overview
Clack is a local MCP server for the Clack Mac app that lets an assistant capture, read, mark up and edit screenshots and recordings.
- What you can do
- Capture screenshots and screen recordings in Clack for Mac, as the description states it supports capture of both screenshots and recordings, though the manifest lists no individual tools. Read and inspect existing screenshots and recordings. Mark up and edit captured images and recordings. All actions run through the Clack app on the user's Mac.
- When to use it
- Useful when you work on a Mac with the Clack app and want an assistant to grab screenshots or recordings and annotate or edit them as part of a workflow, for example documenting steps or preparing visual material.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process over stdio, distributed as an mcpb package, and is desktop only. Requires the Clack app for Mac to be installed. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Clack in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.

Publish an icon in the registry entry.
