Ikenga iyke (control bridge)
dev.ikengaPublished by ikenga.devv0.2.3Updated Oct 24, 2026
Drive a running Ikenga desktop app from MCP clients — DOM, click, type, navigate, screenshot.
Overview
A local stdio MCP bridge that lets an assistant drive a running Ikenga desktop app through DOM inspection, clicks, typing, navigation and screenshots.
- What you can do
- Inspect the DOM of the running Ikenga desktop app to see page structure and elements. Click elements and type text into the app's interface. Navigate the app to different views or pages. Capture screenshots of the app for visual confirmation.
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to operate or test the Ikenga desktop app directly — walking through UI flows, filling in fields, or verifying what the app displays — rather than working through files or APIs.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process on the user's machine via npx from the npm package @ikenga/mcp-iyke over stdio. Requires the Ikenga desktop app to be running and reachable; desktop only, not available as a web executable. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Ikenga iyke (control bridge) in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

The canonical home for first-party Ikenga packages — engines, MCP servers, mini-apps, and helpers — in one Apache-2.0 monorepo.
What it is
Every first-party Ikenga package lives here (ADR-009), versioned and published with Changesets. It's a good place to read working examples of each pkg archetype before authoring your own.
Layout
Workflow
This monorepo uses Changesets for per-package versioning and publish.
Each PR that changes a package must include a .changeset/*.md (the
changeset-bot will nag you on PRs that don't).
Registry
Published versions appear in the ikenga-registry
within seconds of pnpm changeset publish completing, via the
scripts/update-registry-index.mjs step in the release workflow. The shell and
ikenga CLI both consume that registry for discovery and install.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
