Overview

AI-generated overview

Memmo is a remote MCP server that gives AI coding agents a human-reviewed team memory of repo rules, decisions, commands and risks.

What you can do
  • List the repos a token can access and find the repo identifier
  • Search the team's approved memory for rules, architecture, commands, decisions, risks and past failures, with superseded decisions marked
  • Retrieve repo context such as stack, package manager, key commands and known risks
  • Get risk and failure warnings for the specific files about to be edited
  • Propose new atomic memories for human review, optionally superseding an outdated one
  • Submit a session summary of task, files, commands and errors so Memmo can suggest memories
When to use it
Use it when an assistant works on a codebase whose team keeps reviewed conventions, architecture notes and past-failure warnings, and you want it to consult that knowledge while planning and before editing sensitive files.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at api.memmo.dev over streamable HTTP. Access is scoped to a token that determines which repos are visible; no environment variables or headers are declared in the manifest.
Before you install
Memories are shared team knowledge: proposed memories and session summaries are submitted to Memmo for human review, so avoid including secrets or sensitive details in them. Writes are proposals rather than direct changes, but they still leave the local machine.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Memmo in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/dev.memmo%2Fmemmo/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

list_repos

List Memmo repos

List the repos this token can access (id, owner/name, project). Use to find the repo identifier.

Takes no parameters.

search_memory

Search Memmo memory

Search the team's approved memory for a repo (rules, architecture, commands, decisions, risks, past failures). Call it while planning — with a one-line summary of what you intend to do — and before non-trivial changes. Results marked 'replaces' are the current decision.

Parametersreporequiredlimitqueryrequired

get_repo_context

Get repo context

Stack, package manager, key commands, and known risks for a repo. Call before starting work.

Parametersreporequired

get_relevant_warnings

Get relevant warnings

Risk/failure memories for the files you're about to edit. Call before editing sensitive files.

Parametersreporequiredfilesrequired

propose_memories

Propose Memmo memories

Record durable, reusable knowledge (conventions, architecture, commands, risks, decisions) as PROPOSED memories for human review. Keep each ATOMIC (one fact) and CONCISE (1–3 sentences). Use supersedes with an id from search_memory to correct an outdated memory.

Parametersreporequiredmemoriesrequired

record_session_summary

Record a Memmo session summary

Submit what you just did (task, summary, files, commands, errors) so Memmo can propose memories for review.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
