Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server that gives an assistant cloud Android phones to control: read the screen, tap, type, install apps, and park or resume devices.

What you can do
  • Create, start, park and delete cloud Android phones, and list their status
  • Read the current screen as a numbered element list or as a PNG screenshot
  • Run batches of actions such as tap, long press, swipe, scroll, type, key, back, home, open or close app, wait and wait_for
  • Install or update apps from a public APK or split bundle URL, list installed apps, and uninstall apps with their data
  • Set device timezone, locale, GPS location and proxy
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to drive a real Android app or phone UI end to end, for example testing an app, walking through a mobile sign-up flow, or giving each task or end user its own isolated phone.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at mobilebox.dev over streamable HTTP, with a Mobilebox account and API key sent as an Authorization bearer header. No local runtime or packages are needed.
Before you install
A running phone is billed per second, so park phones when finished; parked phones are free and keep apps and logins. delete_phone erases the phone and everything on it, and uninstall_app deletes app data. The proxy setting routes all device traffic through the given proxy. The API key is a secret and should be kept out of shared logs.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Mobilebox in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/dev.mobilebox%2Fmobilebox/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

list_phones

List this project's phones and their status.

Takes no parameters.

create_phone

Create a phone, wait until it is ready and return its first screen. Give each task or end user its own phone. Phones are cloud Android; iOS and real devices are early access.

Parametersnamedevicecountryplatformidle_timeoutmax_durationidempotency_key

start_phone

Resume a parked phone. Its apps and logins are kept.

Parametersphone_idrequired

park_phone

Park a phone: shuts it down and stops billing. Apps, data and logins stay; apps start fresh after start_phone (like after a reboot). Always park when done.

Parametersphone_idrequired

delete_phone

Delete a phone and everything on it. Prefer park_phone.

Parametersphone_idrequired

set_device

Set where the phone is: timezone (IANA), locale (BCP-47), GPS location, and proxy (socks5://user:pass@host:port; all traffic leaves through it, null = direct). Kept across park/start. Changing the locale restarts the UI (~15 s).

install_app

Install or update an app from a public download URL: an APK (arm64-v8a or universal) or a split bundle (.apks/.xapk; the splits this phone needs are picked). Then open it with act {"type":"open_app","package":…}.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
