Overview

AI-generated overview

Searches the ndekoui React component registry, returns item source and shadcn install commands, and shares its design rules.

What you can do
  • Search and browse the catalogue by keyword, kind or category, with counts per group
  • Read a single item's full file source, npm dependencies, registry dependencies and site page
  • Build shadcn CLI install commands for one or more items across npm, pnpm, yarn or bun
  • Read the shared theme tokens (colours, radius, easing, utilities) and the design guidelines for writing matching UI
When to use it
Useful when building a React 19 and Tailwind CSS 4 project with the shadcn CLI and you want an assistant to find suitable ndekoui primitives, components, blocks or templates, read their source, and produce the install command. Also handy for keeping new UI consistent with the library's theme and motion rules.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint; no authentication, environment variables or headers are declared. The generated install commands assume a project already set up with the shadcn CLI, React 19 and Tailwind CSS 4.
Before you install
The server is described as read-only and does not modify your project, but the install commands it returns are meant to be run and will add files and dependencies to your codebase. Review generated commands and item source before running them.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open ndekoui in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/dev.ndekocode.ui%2Fndekoui/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

ndekoui

Open-source React components that animate every change of state. 685 components in 36 categories, 66 blocks, 10 templates and 72 primitives, built on Base UI, motion and Tailwind CSS 4, installed with the shadcn CLI or through an MCP server.

Site and catalogue: ui.ndekocode.dev

What is in it

  • Primitives: 72 accessible building blocks on Base UI (button, field, select, menu, dialog, sheet, tabs, slider, chat input...). Try them at /kit.
  • Components: 685 compositions in 36 categories, from inputs and date pickers to notifications, comments and team lists. Browse them at /components.
  • Blocks: 66 whole sections of a product (app shells, boards, task lists, dashboards, billing, settings, pricing, heroes...). See them at /blocks.
  • Templates: 10 complete pages for applications and marketing sites, at /templates.
  • Motion: text effects, scroll animations, marquees, device frames and more, documented at /docs.
  • Theme: light and dark tokens, ink colours that pass AA, one-pixel hairlines and a few 3D materials, installed with every item.

Install a component

Every item is a shadcn registry item. In a project set up with the shadcn CLI, React 19 and Tailwind CSS 4:

bash
npx shadcn@latest add https://ui.ndekocode.dev/r/notification-28.json

The theme, the cn helper and every primitive the item uses come with it, and imports are rewritten to your own aliases.

To use the short form, declare the registry in components.json:

json
{  "registries": {    "@ndeko": "https://ui.ndekocode.dev/r/{name}.json"  }}
bash
npx shadcn@latest add @ndeko/notification-28

Use it from your editor

The MCP server at https://ui.ndekocode.dev/mcp lets Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed and other MCP clients search the catalogue, read the source of an item, get its install command and follow the design rules. Setup for each client: ui.ndekocode.dev/mcp/connect.

For language models, the catalogue is also described in llms.txt and, item by item, in llms-full.txt. The registry index is at r/registry.json.

Develop

bash
pnpm installpnpm dev # the site on http://localhost:3000pnpm typecheckpnpm lintpnpm registry:build # registry.json, preview indexes and public/r

Node.js 24 and pnpm are required.

Design system

The rules every item follows (tokens, lines, materials, motion, writing) are in docs/DESIGN-SYSTEM.md.

search_items

Search items

Search the ndekoui registry by words, ranked like the search on ui.ndekocode.dev: titles first, then names, groups and descriptions. Use it before list_items when you know what you need ("pricing", "date range", "kanban"). Filter by kind: primitive, component, block, template, motion or lib.

Parameterskindlimitqueryrequired

list_items

List items

List ndekoui registry items of one kind. Kinds: primitive (Base UI building blocks such as button or dialog), component (ready compositions such as accordion-01), block (product sections such as heroes-01), template (whole pages), motion (animation components) and lib (theme, utilities, icons, sample images, hooks). Narrow with category: a category or group slug such as accordion, heroes or application, or a component family such as forms or overlays. Paged with offset and limit.

Parameterskindrequiredlimitoffsetcategory

get_item

Get item

Get one ndekoui item by name: the full source of its files, its npm dependencies, the registry items it pulls in, the shadcn command that installs it and its page on ui.ndekocode.dev. Large templates return the source of their first files and list the rest; pass file with a path from that list to read one file.

Parametersfilenamerequired

get_install_command

Get install command

Build the shadcn CLI command that installs one or more ndekoui items, for npm, pnpm, yarn or bun. Returns the command with full registry URLs, which works in any shadcn project, and the shorter @ndeko form for projects whose components.json declares the namespace.

ParametersnamesrequiredpackageManager

get_theme

Get theme

Summarise the theme item every ndekoui piece depends on: the colour tokens with their light and dark values, the radius and easing tokens, and the utilities it adds (hairlines, chip-3d, keycap-3d, gem-plate, surface-raised, surface-brand). Read it before changing colours or writing new styles.

Takes no parameters.

get_design_guidelines

Get design guidelines

The rules for writing UI that looks and moves like ndekoui: surfaces and hairlines, radius, colour, type, how to compose the Base UI primitives, the motion signatures and their timing, and what to avoid. Call it once before writing UI. Pass section with a number or a title ("7", "motion") to read one section of the design system in full, or "all" for the whole document.

Parameterssection

list_categories

List categories

The map of the ndekoui catalogue with counts: primitive groups, component families and their categories, block groups, template groups, motion groups and library items. Use the slugs it returns as the category of list_items.

Takes no parameters.
