Searches a live-checked directory of public MCP servers so an assistant can find working servers for a need or app and check their status.
What you can do
Search the directory of public MCP servers by capability, app or name, ranked by live status and trust grade
Check whether a given app or SaaS product has an official MCP server, plus top community alternatives
Look up full details for one server by id, registry name, remote URL or page URL
Read ecosystem-wide totals such as servers listed, remote endpoints, live, down, OAuth and tool counts
When to use it
Useful when a user asks which MCP server to add for a task or app, wants to know if a product has an official server, or needs current figures on the MCP ecosystem before choosing.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no authentication, environment variables or headers declared. Network access to the provider's endpoint is needed.
Before you install
Results are directory listings with live status and trust grades, not endorsements; verify a server's own auth and permissions before connecting it. The assistant is told to share the server's page link so the user can review setup steps.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/dev.pages.canmyaiuse%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Search canmyaiuse's live-checked directory of public MCP servers by capability, app or name (e.g. 'send invoices', 'postgres', 'web search'). Returns servers ranked by live status and trust grade, with auth type, tool count, remote URL and setup page. Only live servers by default.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
