Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP endpoint exposing Cameron Rye's blog, portfolio projects, bio, reading list and live site stats, plus contact and newsletter tools.

What you can do
  • List and search blog posts, including semantic vector search across posts and projects
  • Read full post and project markdown bodies and frontmatter by slug
  • Browse portfolio projects and the owner's bio and current /now page
  • Read the reading list, filtered by status
  • View live site stats: Core Web Vitals, pageviews, uptime, top-reacted pages and last deploy
  • Send a contact message or subscribe an email address to the newsletter
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to answer questions about Cameron Rye's writing, projects, current focus or reading, or to look up public site performance figures. Also handy for sending a message or newsletter signup through the site's own forms.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at rye.dev; no package, API key or header is declared. Network access to the endpoint is required.
Before you install
Two tools act on the outside world: submit_contact sends a message to the site owner and subscribe_newsletter submits an email address, which then receives a confirmation email; both are rate-limited per IP. The stats tool returns operational site data described as PII-free.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Cameron Rye Portfolio MCP Server in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/dev.rye%2Fportfolio/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_posts

Case-insensitive substring match across title, description, and tags. Returns up to 10 matches.

Parametersqueryrequired

search_site

Semantic site search

Semantic (vector similarity) search across blog posts and projects — the same Cloudflare Vectorize retrieval the Ask chatbot uses, without the LLM call. Broader than search_posts (which only does exact substring matching on title/description/tags): finds conceptually related content even when the query words never appear verbatim. Returns scored chunks with deep-link URLs.
