Remote MCP server that checks and normalizes postal codes for 252 countries and territories, with a country list tool.
What you can do
Validate and normalize a postal code for a given ISO country code, returning validity, the normalized form, a format example and the country name
List every supported country and territory with its ISO code, English name, whether it uses postal codes, a format example and the local name for the code
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to sanity-check or clean up postal codes in addresses, forms or datasets, or look up which countries use postal codes and what their formats look like. It is a format check only, so it is not a substitute for address verification or deliverability checks.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no installation, API key or environment variables. The server reports a limit of about 60 checks per minute per IP.
Before you install
Results are format checks based on Google libaddressinput patterns: valid means the code has the right shape, not that the address exists or is deliverable. The server states it stores nothing and makes no network calls; requests are rate-limited per IP.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/dev.workers.mike-tusa.postcodecheck%2Fpostcodecheck/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Check whether a postal code has a valid format for a country and return its normalized form (uppercase, official space or hyphen), a format example and the country name. Example: country "NL", code "1234ab" → valid true, normalized "1234 AB". Format check only (Google libaddressinput patterns): it does not confirm the code exists or is deliverable. Countries without postal codes return valid false with reason "no_postal_codes". Read-only. Same engine as GET /v1/validate.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
