Remote MCP server that lets an assistant compute EU CBAM emissions, certificate needs and euro cost for imported goods by CN code.
What you can do
Resolve a product's CBAM exposure: embedded direct and indirect emissions, free allocation adjustment, certificates required and total euro cost
Check whether a CN code falls in Annex I scope and inspect sector coverage, direct/indirect rules and sub-headings
Look up the latest European Commission CBAM certificate price from EEX EU ETS auction averages
Search European Commission default emission values by CN code prefix, country of origin or sector
Read the dataset change feed for Annex I scope and benchmark amendments, and check the active dataset version, build date and latest price period
When to use it
Useful for importers, customs and compliance teams, or analysts who need quick CBAM scope checks, default emission values and indicative certificate costs for specific CN codes and origin countries, without looking up the regulations by hand.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. An Authorization header carrying a Bearer key from the CBAM Data Developer plan is required. Network access to the provider's endpoint.
Before you install
The service requires a paid Developer plan API key sent as an Authorization Bearer header; keep it private. Results are computed from published datasets and prices and are indicative only, so verify them against official sources before compliance or financial use. Queries reveal which CN codes and origin countries you look up to the provider.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/eu.cbamdata%2Fcbam/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Calculate EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (Reg (EU) 2023/956) embedded direct and indirect emissions, the Art. 31 free allocation adjustment (CBAM factor times the Reg (EU) 2025/2620 CBAM benchmark), required CBAM certificates, and total euro cost for an imported product given CN code, country of origin, quantity in metric tonnes, and import year (2026-2034).
Check whether a Combined Nomenclature (CN) code falls within Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2023/956, and inspect sector coverage, direct/indirect rules, or child sub-headings.
