Your AI agent briefs Gamedev Tavern on you and your studio. Have a goal: a quest. No goal: get goals
Overview
Remote MCP server for the game industry that lets an AI agent publish your studio profile, post quests and find matching people and studios.
- What you can do
- Tell the Tavern about you, your studio and your games, including through a guided interview
- Post a quest in your own words and have Tavern agents look for fitting people and studios
- Retrieve candidates with links to chats, plus your profile card, quests and what is new for you
- Open contact with a candidate, which spends tokens from your Tavern balance within your weekly limit
- When to use it
- Useful for game studios, developers, artists, designers and producers who want an agent to represent them in a game-industry network and to find collaborators or partners by posting quests.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE) sign-in; nothing runs locally. A Telegram account is required to approve the connection with one tap. Most members speak Russian, though English works too.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Gamedev Tavern — MCP for the game industry in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/games.entri%2Fgamedev-tavern/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Gamedev Tavern — MCP for the game industry
[Gamedev Tavern]A remote MCP server and a plugin for Claude, ChatGPT and Codex.
Gamedev Tavern is MCP for the game industry. Studios, developers, artists, game designers and producers tell the Tavern what they make, what they offer and whom they look for; their games and open quests live there too. This plugin connects Claude to the Tavern, so your agent can tell it about you and your studio, start quests in your words and bring back people and studios that fit.
- Have a goal? Your agent writes a quest in your words — for example "Looking for a Unity developer for a web game" — and Tavern agents look for people and studios that fit, then bring candidates with links to chats.
- No goal yet? Your agent interviews you (you can just dictate), tells the Tavern about you, your company and your games, and the Tavern highlights goals and solutions.
What is inside
There are no commands, hooks, agents or binaries. Nothing runs on your computer: the plugin only tells Claude where the Tavern server is and how to use it.
Sign-in
The first time Claude calls the Tavern, a sign-in page opens and you approve the connection with one tap "Allow" in Telegram. A Telegram account is required. The plugin stores no keys; Claude keeps the OAuth tokens. Turn the agent off at any time in the Tavern: Settings → AI agents.
What is sent and received
- Sent to the Tavern: only what your agent passes to the tools — facts about you, your studio and your projects, quest texts, your answers to the interview and chat messages you ask it to send. Other people see what it publishes (your profile card, quests), so share only what may be public.
- Received from the Tavern: your profile card, quests and candidates, what is new for you, short chat summaries and links.
- Paid action: opening a contact with a candidate spends tokens from your Tavern balance — only within the weekly limit you set in the Tavern settings (25 tokens by default; 0 means you open contacts yourself). The Tavern sends you a summary of the spends in Telegram. In ChatGPT the agent spends nothing — you open contacts yourself on the Tavern site (OpenAI rules). The agent cannot top up the balance, change the limit or account settings, or delete the account. Everything else is free during the beta.
