Savecraft serves real save game data and expert game knowledge to AI assistants.
Overview
Savecraft is a hosted MCP endpoint that gives AI assistants real save game data and expert game knowledge.
- What you can do
- Provides assistants with real save game data and expert game knowledge, per the registry description.
- No tools are listed in the manifest, so the specific operations are not documented here.
- The hosted API and web app are proprietary and developed privately; the open local client (daemon, plugin runtime, save parsers, mods, installer) lives in a separate repository.
- When to use it
- Consider it when you want an assistant to work with game save data or game-specific knowledge through a hosted service rather than local tooling. Because no tools are listed and the repository is historical, check the hosted product's own documentation before relying on it.
- Requirements
- A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at api.savecraft.gg. OAuth authentication is required. No environment variables or headers are declared. The open client components are distributed separately from this repository.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Savecraft in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/gg.savecraft%2Fsavecraft/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Savecraft (historical repository)
Development in this repository has stopped. It remains available, unchanged, under its original Apache 2.0 license.
Savecraft's codebase split along its trust boundary in July 2026:
- The open local client — the daemon, WASM plugin runtime, save parsers, in-game mods, and installer: everything Savecraft installs on a user's machine — continues at joshsymonds/savecraft-client, with history, under Apache 2.0.
- The hosted product (API, web app, reference modules) is proprietary and developed privately.
Existing releases and this repository's full history stay available under their original terms. For what the client reads and transmits, see the client repository's README and its wire schema.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
