Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for the Sparks idea notebook that lets an assistant find, capture and organize notes, projects and subtasks.

What you can do
  • List projects with note counts and search or filter notes
  • Read a single note with its projects and full subtask tree
  • Create notes in the Inbox or a project, and update title, body, tags, done, pinned, due date or project
  • Add subtasks up to four levels deep and mark notes or subtasks done or not done
  • File a note under an additional project
  • Check whether a Send-to-agent webhook is set and register one
When to use it
Useful when you keep ideas, notes and small projects in Sparks and want an assistant to capture thoughts, look up existing notes, or keep tasks and subtasks organized while you work in a chat or coding client.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; nothing to install. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration, approved once in Sparks. Clients without OAuth use a one-tap connect link. Network access to the Sparks service is required.
Before you install
The assistant can create and change notes, subtasks and project assignments in your notebook, and can register a webhook that Sparks calls on Send to agent. There is deliberately no delete tool, so changes are not removable through the agent. Note content is sent to the Sparks service; review its privacy and terms before connecting.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Sparks in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/gr.6x7%2Fsparks/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Sparks MCP

Connect any MCP client (Cursor, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Grok Bot, ...) to your Sparks idea notebook. Your agent can find, capture and organize notes, projects and subtasks. There is deliberately no delete tool.

  • Server: https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP, remote, nothing to install)
  • Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Add the URL, approve once in Sparks. Agents without OAuth use the one-tap connect link in skills/connect-to-sparks.

Install

Cursor: install the sparks plugin from the Marketplace, or add to mcp.json:

json
{ "mcpServers": { "sparks": { "url": "https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp" } } }

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http sparks https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp, then /mcp → Authenticate.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
