Overview

AI-generated overview

GATE Daily serves a fresh set of ten original GATE CS & IT practice questions each day and scores answers the way the exam does, with worked solutions.

What you can do
  • Fetch the day's mixed set of ten GATE-format questions, or a five-question subject set for signed-in users
  • Score submitted answers with GATE marking rules and get the answer, worked solution and a memory note per question
  • Browse past questions with public solutions, filtered by subject or topic words
  • Open a single past question with its answer, solution and per-option explanations
  • Review a signed-in user's streak, sets submitted, accuracy, weakest subjects and recent scores
When to use it
Useful for anyone preparing for GATE Computer Science & IT who wants a short daily practice habit, exam-style scoring and explanations, or targeted drilling of a weak subject from past questions.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at gatedaily.in; no package or local runtime. The daily set, scoring, past-question browsing and single-question lookup work without an account. Subject sets and progress tracking need a free GATE Daily account signed in with Google.
Before you install
The service is free, but the subject-set and progress tools require signing in with a Google account; the server says never to ask for a password or email in chat. Submitting answers saves results to the signed-in user's record. Answers and solutions are returned by the scoring and question tools, so practice depends on the assistant withholding them until the user has answered.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open GATE Daily in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/in.gatedaily%2Fgatedaily/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

submit_answers

Submit answers

Score the user's answers to a GATE Daily set the way GATE does (a wrong MCQ costs 1/3 or 2/3 of its marks; MSQ and NAT have no negative marking and no partial credit) and get the answer, worked solution and a note to remember for every question. Call it once, after the user has answered; questions left out count as skipped. For a signed-in user the set is saved to their record (the first submission of a set stays).

Returns the questions without answers; submit with submit_answers and the subject.
