A free, no-account remote MCP server that answers F-1/J-1 student immigration questions with citations to regulations and agency guidance.
What you can do
Ask questions about F-1/J-1 status, SEVIS, OPT, CPT, transfers and related rules and get a cited answer, optionally in plain language for students, with answers taking roughly 10–40 seconds. Search the knowledge base of regulations, SEVP/USCIS guidance and Federal Register rules and get matching passages with source links to read and cite yourself. Connect to a HenryKnows page the person is watching and share questions, answers and search passages into that page's thread so they can follow along.
When to use it
Useful when helping students, designated school officials, advisers, attorneys or employers with F-1/J-1 immigration rules and you want sourced answers or the underlying regulatory text rather than unsupported claims. Also suited to following along on a HenryKnows page when the person provides a session code.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no account, API key or environment variables are declared. Network access to the provider's endpoint is required, and answers can take 10–40 seconds.
Before you install
Do not put student names, SEVIS IDs, passport numbers or other identifiers into questions. The connect and share_to_page tools create or link a session and append an entry to a page's thread, which is kept for 24 hours; use them only when the person gives a session code or asks to follow along. Questions and searches are sent to the provider's service.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/info.henryknows%2Fhenryknows/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Ask HenryKnows a question about F-1/J-1 student immigration, SEVIS, OPT, CPT or related rules and get a cited answer. Ask in the person's own terms; do not add identifiers. Answers take 10–40 seconds. Read-only: nothing is stored.

search_sources
Search HenryKnows sources
Search HenryKnows' knowledge base (regulations, SEVP/USCIS guidance, Federal Register rules) and get the matching passages with their source links, so you can read and cite the text yourself. Fast; no model call. Read-only: nothing is stored.

connect
Connect to a HenryKnows page
Connect to the HenryKnows page the person is watching (its light turns green) and get the session for share_to_page. Only for people who gave you a session code or asked to follow along on a page. Side effects: creates a session, or links the one the person gave, and returns that session and the page's watch link; a new session starts each time it is called without a code; nothing is deleted.

share_to_page
Show an exchange on the connected HenryKnows page
Add a question and its HenryKnows answer (or a search and its passages) to the thread on the HenryKnows page the person connected, so they can see it there with its sources. Only for people who connected a page. Side effects: appends one entry to that page's thread, kept 24 hours; nothing else changes.
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
