Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only cinema graph MCP server: lets an assistant search 47,000+ films, people and scores, fetch records, and walk credit, score and influence connections.

What you can do
  • Search films, people and scores by title or name, with exact-title matches first
  • Read a film's record: title, year, runtime, genres, countries, language, synopsis and directors
  • Look up any entity by id: a film, a person with roles and life years, or a musical work and the film it scores
  • Walk every connection touching an entity in both directions, paged up to 200 at a time
  • Get an overview of the graph's size, connection kinds and data sources
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs factual film, filmmaker or film-score data and relationships — for example answering questions about who worked with whom, what a person is credited on, or which film a score belongs to.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.renoir.info; no sign-in, API key or environment variables declared.
Before you install
Read-only and requires no credentials, so it cannot change data; the server states nothing about any member is held. Queries under three characters match whole titles exactly, which can narrow results unexpectedly.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Renoir in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/info.renoir%2Frenoir/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
