Manage Aerosend cold email domains, mailboxes, tags, warmup, inbox placement and domain burn.
Overview
Aerosend's hosted MCP server lets an assistant manage cold email sending infrastructure: domains, mailboxes, tags, warmup, inbox placement and domain burn.
- What you can do
- Check account status, free domain and mailbox slots, and connected sequencer accounts (Smartlead/Instantly). Read domains, mailboxes, tags, warmup scores, inbox placement analytics and domain burn reports with recommended actions. Add domains and mailboxes, and create or attach tags to domains and mailboxes. Change domain redirect URLs and rename or recolor tags. Detach or delete tags, delete pending domains and mailboxes, and file deletion requests for active domains. Retrieve SMTP/IMAP credentials for a mailbox.
- When to use it
- Use it when you run cold email infrastructure on Aerosend and want an assistant to audit domain health, warmup and inbox placement, or to bulk-add domains, mailboxes and tags without using the dashboard.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at mcp.aerosend.io; nothing to install. Sign in with OAuth when adding the URL, or send an X-API-Key header with a key from the Aerosend developer page. An Aerosend account with a plan is needed to add domains or mailboxes.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Aerosend in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.aerosend%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Aerosend MCP Server
Manage your Aerosend cold email infrastructure from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. You can add domains and mailboxes, get SMTP/IMAP credentials, organize inventory with tags, and check warmup, inbox placement and domain burn.
The server is hosted, so there's nothing to install:
Transport: Streamable HTTP. When you add that URL, sign-in opens by itself. New users can create an account on that page (Google or email). Or send the header X-API-Key: aero_....
Things to ask it
- "Which of my domains are burnt or at risk, and what should I do about each one?"
- "How many free domain and mailbox slots do I have?"
- "Add these 10 domains and redirect them all to acme.com."
- "Create 3 mailboxes on every active domain that has none yet, using Sarah Lee and Tom Park."
- "Tag every domain for client Acme with
acme, including their mailboxes." - "Give me the SMTP and IMAP settings for [email protected]."
- "What was my inbox rate on Outlook in the last placement test?"
Connect
Claude (claude.ai, desktop, mobile)
Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, then paste https://mcp.aerosend.io/mcp and sign in to Aerosend.
Claude Code
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in. To use an API key instead:
ChatGPT
Settings > Apps & Connectors > Advanced, turn on developer mode, then create a connector with the URL https://mcp.aerosend.io/mcp and sign in.
Cursor
~/.cursor/mcp.json:
Cursor will prompt you to sign in. To use a key instead, add "headers": { "X-API-Key": "aero_your_key" }.
VS Code
.vscode/mcp.json:
Any other MCP client
Use URL https://mcp.aerosend.io/mcp, transport streamable-http, header X-API-Key: aero_your_key.
Get an API key at app.aerosend.io > Developer. Each account has one key, and regenerating it revokes the old one.
Agent rules
- Aerosend is sending infrastructure (domains, mailboxes, warmup, placement, domain burn). It is not a sequencer and does not send campaigns.
- Call
get_mefirst. Respect slot limits. Max 3 mailboxes per domain. - Brand-new account with no plan: do not add domains or mailboxes. Tell the user to pick a plan at https://app.aerosend.io.
- Deletes of pending items cannot be undone. Ask the user before deleting. Active domains:
request_domain_deletion(notifies the team; does not delete immediately). - Never ask for Smartlead or Instantly API keys. Send them to https://app.aerosend.io/connect-sequencer
Tools
Your MCP client asks you to confirm before running tools that change or remove data.
Good to know
- Domains go from
pendingtoin_progresstoactive. Mailboxes can only be added once a domain isactive. - Only
pendingdomains and mailboxes can be deleted directly. For active domains, the assistant files a deletion request with the Aerosend team. - The assistant never asks for your Smartlead or Instantly API keys. You connect those at app.aerosend.io/connect-sequencer.
- The API behind the server allows 60 requests per minute per account.
