Identify what an AI image carries (marks, metadata, watermarks), then clean it.
Overview
Lets an assistant inspect what an AI-generated image carries, such as marks, metadata and watermarks, and then clean it.
- What you can do
- Demarker exposes tools to identify what an AI image carries and to clean it. The tools are demarker_identify (free, works without a key), demarker_clean (spends credits), demarker_get_balance, demarker_get_pricing and demarker_get_job. Cleaning requires a maxCredits value and a hard per-call ceiling applies regardless of what the model requests. Results are written next to the input file and never overwrite an existing file.
- When to use it
- Use it when you need to check whether an image carries AI marks, metadata or watermarks, or to remove them before reuse. Identification alone is free and needs no account, so it is also useful for a quick inspection pass.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio, typically via npx @demarker/mcp. Node.js is needed for the npm package. An API key in DEMARKER_API_KEY is optional but required to clean images and read balance; DEMARKER_API_URL and DEMARKER_MCP_MAX_CREDITS are also read. Desktop clients only.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Demarker in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
