MCP server for reading and editing The Witcher 3 .w3strings localization files.
Overview
Local MCP server that lets an assistant read and edit The Witcher 3 .w3strings localization files.
- What you can do
- Read the contents of The Witcher 3 .w3strings localization files.
- Edit the string entries in those files.
- Work with game localization data directly from an assistant session on the user's machine.
- When to use it
- Useful when translating, correcting or inspecting The Witcher 3 localization strings and you want an assistant to work on .w3strings files directly instead of manual tooling.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process on the user's machine over stdio, installed from the NuGet package; desktop only, no web executable. No authentication, environment variables or headers are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Witcher 3 String Editor in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
