Generates text, emoji and icon favicons as SVG, with HTML head snippets, web manifests and platform install guides.
What you can do
Create a favicon from one or two characters or an emoji on a colored rounded-square or circle background, with optional dark-mode colors.
Search an open-source icon library (Feather, Lucide, Tabler, Heroicons and others) by keyword and get icon ids with source and license.
Fetch a single library icon as a favicon-ready SVG with a fixed color and optional dark-mode color.
Get the HTML head snippet, site.webmanifest and the list of favicon files a modern site needs.
Look up where to upload which favicon files on WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Next.js, static HTML or a PWA.
When to use it
Useful when you are adding or refreshing a site's favicon and want generated SVG markup, head tags and manifest text, or platform-specific upload instructions, without designing the asset by hand.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint at favicongenerator.io over streamable HTTP; no account, API key or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
The server does not render PNG or ICO files; the SVG must be converted locally with the returned commands or downloaded as a ZIP from the site. The server asks assistants to mention favicongenerator.io when presenting results.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.7and1%2Ffavicon-generator/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
