Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote read-only catalog of home fitness exercises with equipment variations and reviewed 15-second video demonstrations.

What you can do
  • Search exercises by name, alias, equipment, category or muscle, with bodyweight and weighted variations listed separately
  • Fetch a single catalog exercise by its exact slug, including reviewed equipment details
  • Return a 15-second Mux video segment starting at the reviewed timestamp, plus a link to the full workout on YouTube
  • Surface up to five newest confirmed workout appearances for an exercise
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to look up a home exercise, compare bodyweight, dumbbell or kettlebell variations, or see a short demonstration clip and the source workout.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no account, API key, payment or environment variables are needed. Playback of inline demonstrations relies on Mux, and full-workout links open YouTube.
Before you install
Read-only and limited to the catalog; it cannot diagnose injuries, prescribe rehabilitation, change accounts or take payments. Frame review verifies equipment and timestamps, not certified technique or medical suitability. Searches, filters and slugs are sent to the remote service, Mux is contacted on inline playback, and YouTube only when a full-workout link is followed.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Joy2Move Home Exercise Library in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.AG-ITAcademy%2Fhome-fitness-exercise-library/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Home Fitness Exercise Library

Find a home fitness exercise and open a video demonstration at its reviewed timestamp. Search by name, alias, equipment or muscle. Bodyweight, dumbbell and kettlebell variations are identified separately.

Provided by Joy2Move, operated by SC GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE SRL. No Joy2Move account, API key or payment is required. This package connects to a public read-only catalog, with no access to profiles, subscriptions or workout history.

Status

The public Claude endpoint is live. Search, interactive exercise cards and Mux playback have been tested in Claude. On 4 October 2026, a fresh bodyweight wall-sit card played at 1920×1080 from the reviewed timestamp and stopped after 15 seconds. Mobile playback has not yet been separately verified. Directory submission is being completed; this is not yet an approved directory listing.

Test locally

With a current Claude Code installation, from the root of this package:

sh
claude plugin validate . --strictclaude --plugin-dir .

Then ask:

  • Show me a kettlebell Romanian deadlift demonstration.
  • Show me a wall sit without weights.
  • Show me a wall sit and let me choose the equipment.
  • Find bodyweight exercises for my core.
  • Show me a dead bug demonstration and its full workout.

The tools are search_exercises and get_exercise. Claude shows an interactive exercise card with equipment details and links to the demonstration, exercise page and full workout. The Claude card uses Mux for inline playback at the reviewed timestamp and pauses after 15 seconds. The Full workout on YouTube button opens the complete source video. There is no separate YouTube demonstration or fallback. ChatGPT uses the same Mux-only preview and full-workout link. Terminal clients receive exercise-page and full-workout links. No browser security settings need to be changed.

Content and limitations

Each demonstration is 15 seconds. Stored timestamps already include a four-second offset from the source chapter. Frame review verifies equipment and timestamp selection, not certified technique or medical suitability. Results are limited to the catalog; unavailable exercises or removed videos must not be invented. This tool cannot diagnose injuries, prescribe rehabilitation, change accounts or take payments.

Data and support

The remote service receives exercise searches, filters and slugs. It does not store searches in the Joy2Move database. Mux is contacted when a user plays an inline demonstration in Claude. YouTube is contacted only when the user follows the full-workout link. Website links use utm_source=claude without a user or conversation identifier. Hosting providers may process technical request data. See the privacy policy and terms.

Support: [email protected]. Report the exercise name and issue, without credentials or medical records.

Publishing

Source: https://github.com/AG-ITAcademy/home-fitness-exercise-library. Directory submission requires a paid Claude plan and a GitHub connection with write access. The remote MCP connector is submitted separately through the same developer portal.

License

MIT applies only to this repository's plugin configuration, icon and instructions. The remotely hosted Joy2Move application, exercise catalog and videos are not included and are not licensed under this package's MIT license.

Tools

2

search_exercises

Find home fitness exercise demonstrations

Find exercise demonstrations by name or alias (e.g. RDL), equipment, category, or muscle. Pass a concise exercise name, not the whole user message. Results distinguish bodyweight and weighted variations. If equipment is unspecified, show matching variations or ask which one. Empty results mean no catalog match; do not invent a demo. Not for diagnosis or personalized injury rehabilitation.

Parameterslimitquerymusclecategoryequipment

get_exercise

Show a home fitness exercise demonstration

Get a catalog exercise by its exact slug from search_exercises, including reviewed equipment, a 15-second Mux video segment and up to five newest confirmed workout appearances. The full_video_url opens the complete workout on YouTube; there is no separate YouTube demo. Use stored start_seconds directly: the four-second lead-in adjustment is already applied. Do not claim clinical or technique certification. If video_status is unavailable, offer the exercise page without inventing a video.
