AI-powered browser automation MCP — 6 tools for web interaction, extraction, and validation.

Overview

AI-generated overview

A local MCP server that gives an assistant browser automation: acting on pages, extracting structured data, validating content and running multi-step web tasks.

What you can do
Navigate, click and type on web pages, and run multi-step automation tasks on a site. Extract structured data from a page, or extract it into a ZeroDB table. Validate content or state on a page. Extract page content and store it in agent memory.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to drive a real browser rather than fetch static pages: filling forms, walking through multi-step flows, pulling structured data off a site, or feeding web content into memory.
Requirements
Runs locally via npx or a global npm install, so Node.js is needed. Requires an AINATIVE_API_KEY, or AINATIVE_USERNAME and AINATIVE_PASSWORD, set as environment variables. It auto-detects a local ZeroLocal instance on localhost:8000 and otherwise falls back to AINative Cloud, so network access is needed for the cloud path.
Before you install
Credentials are passed as environment variables (AINATIVE_API_KEY, or AINATIVE_USERNAME and AINATIVE_PASSWORD). Tools consume credits per call, from 25 for validation up to 200 for a multi-step task, so usage has a cost. Browser actions click, type and navigate on live sites, and extraction results can be written to ZeroDB tables or agent memory. Page content is sent to AINative Cloud when no local ZeroLocal instance is running.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Ainative Browser Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

@ainative/browser-mcp

AINative Browser Agent MCP Server. Gives AI agents browser automation capabilities — act on pages, extract structured data, validate content, run multi-step tasks, and enrich agent memory from the web.

Auto-detects ZeroLocal (localhost:8000) or AINative Cloud.

Install

bash
npx @ainative/browser-mcp

Or install globally:

ZeroLocal (Local-First)

The server auto-detects ZeroLocal running on localhost:8000. If ZeroLocal is running, it is used automatically — no configuration needed. Otherwise it falls back to AINative Cloud.

To run ZeroLocal:

Score

50% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
