MCP server for OpenAI Sora AI video generation

VerifiedStreamable HTTPWeb executableMedia & Design

Overview

AI-generated overview

Retired MCP server for OpenAI Sora video generation; its hosted endpoint and API are no longer offered, so it cannot be used for new work.

What you can do
  • The README states the AceDataCloud Sora integration is retired and the hosted MCP server and public Sora API endpoints are no longer offered.
  • The repository keeps historical source and tool definitions that describe the former API, not currently available capabilities.
  • Offline compatibility tests can be run with pytest, excluding integration tests.
  • No deployment or endpoint reactivation is included in the repository.
When to use it
Only for reference or historical source review of a former Sora video generation integration. It is not suitable for new video generation work; the README points to currently published services such as Seedance, Veo or Kling instead.
Requirements
A local Python environment with uvx to run the mcp-sora package, plus an ACEDATACLOUD_API_TOKEN from Ace Data Cloud as declared. The README says the hosted endpoint and API are retired, so a new connection should not be configured.
Before you install
The service is retired: installing an older package does not restore access, and the README advises against configuring a new connection to the hosted endpoint. Historical tasks are not migrated to other services, so preserve previously downloaded media and do not resubmit a retired task as a new generation. Prompts, references, durations and task IDs are not interchangeable with other video services.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Mcp Sora in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.AceDataCloud%2Fmcp-sora/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

SoraMCP (retired)

The AceDataCloud Sora integration is retired. Its hosted MCP server and public Sora API endpoints are no longer offered. Installing an older package does not restore access to the retired service.

This directory retains historical source for existing integrations and reference. Its tool definitions and examples describe the former API, not currently available capabilities. Do not configure a new connection to sora.mcp.acedata.cloud.

For a supported video workflow, choose a currently published service such as Seedance, Veo, or Kling. Check the selected service's current models, input requirements and pricing; Sora prompts, character references, durations and task IDs are not interchangeable.

Historical tasks are not automatically migrated to another service. Preserve any previously downloaded media and avoid resubmitting a retired task as a new generation.

Historical source development

Offline compatibility tests can be run with pytest -m "not integration". No deployment or endpoint reactivation is included in this repository's retirement.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
