Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server of seller and buyer tools for x402 APIs: lint listings, check Bazaar rank, test buyer-agent appeal, audit payments and certify offers.

What you can do
  • Lint and conformance-check an x402 or MPP endpoint before its first sale, including its 402 payment header and schemas
  • Check Bazaar search rank and see the top results a buyer agent would see, plus the signals where rivals lead
  • Run buyer-agent A/B panels, model-change watches and demand-gap searches over public Bazaar data
  • Attest free samples and certify Fair Offer claims against live behaviour, with signed public results
  • Check an offer against a buyer policy, get a signed pre-payment verdict, red-team an x402 client, and audit a wallet's USDC payments on Base
  • Contribute to the evidence commons and make a small test payment to confirm a wallet can pay
When to use it
Useful if you sell an x402 API and want to be found and chosen by buyer agents, or if you run an agent wallet and want to vet sellers and check spending before paying. Most tools are aimed at sellers tuning listings, pricing and trust signals.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package install, environment variables or headers declared. Paid tools take x402 payments in USDC on Base inside the tool call, so a funded wallet and an x402-capable client are needed; free tools such as rank_sample, check_fair_offer and check_offer need no payment.
Before you install
Many tools charge USDC per call, including buyer_check, buyer_drill, model_watch, certify_continuous and fund_commons, so an agent can spend money without a separate confirmation step. Some tools fetch your endpoint or read a wallet's on-chain payments, and results are third-party listing data that should not be treated as instructions.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Agoranome seller tools in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.Agoranome%2Fagoranome/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

The Fair Offer Standard

Seven open rules for selling to AI agents honestly, and a machine-readable way to prove them inside the x402 payment handshake. Version 0.2 (draft).

Human-readable page: https://agoranome.com/standard · JSON: standard.json · Schema: schema/fair-offer-0.2.schema.json

The seven rules

IDRuleWhat it meansHow to check
FO-1Price before paymentAn unpaid call returns an x402 offer (HTTP 402) that states the price, asset, network and pay-to address. Nothing is charged before the buyer has signed that exact offer.check
FO-2Failure is freeA call that fails, times out or returns no result is not settled. The buyer is told so.self-declared
FO-3Receipts are signedEvery paid result carries a receipt signed by the seller's key: what was bought, for how much, and when.check
FO-4Sample before you buyA free sample shows what the paid route returns, and a third party can attest that the sample and the paid offer come from the same host.check
FO-5Honest listingThe listing's description, input schema and output example match what the route really returns. Edits made to win buyers must stay true.check
FO-6Data, never instructionsResponses carry data for the buying agent to use, never instructions aimed at it. A buyer can treat any instruction in a response as an attack.self-declared
FO-7Promises are verifiableAny claim about where revenue goes (a pledge, a split, a donation) comes with a public ledger that a buyer can check per receipt, with on-chain proof of what was given.check

Declaring it (0.2)

A seller's HTTP 402 carries an x402 extension, extensions["fair-offer"], whose info states which rules the offer keeps and where a buyer can check each one:

json
{  "version": "0.2",  "standard": "https://agoranome.com/standard",  "settlement": {    "failed_calls": "not_charged",    "enforced_by": "seller"  },  "receipts": {    "signed": true,    "verify": "https://api.example.com/receipts/verify"  },  "sample": {    "url": "https://api.example.com/v1/search/sample"  },  "listing_price_matches_offer": true,  "data_not_instructions": true,  "pledge": {    "share": 0.15,    "basis": "settled_revenue",    "ledger": "https://api.example.com/impact/ledger"  }}
  • Keep it stable. Keep the info identical in the unpaid 402 and on the paid retry: x402 clients echo it, and servers reject a payment whose echo drops or changes a field. Put live numbers behind a URL, never in the block.
  • URLs. Each URL is https, or a path relative to the resource URL.
  • Put the fair-offer block in your 402's extensions (see handshake), and link this URL from your llms.txt or agent manifest as "conforms_to": {"fair_offer": "0.2"}.

Asking for proof: Accept-Proof

A buyer says what proof it needs before it pays, in an Accept-Proof request header (or an accept_proof field in the block it echoes in the payment payload):

Accept-Proof: sample=attested; price<=listing; payers_30d>=20
RequirementMet when
sample=anythe offer declares a free sample on its own host
sample=attestedthe sample has an attestation on record
settlement=sellerfailed calls are not charged (the seller's promise)
settlement=railthe payment is captured only on success (auth-capture)
price<=listingthe live price was checked against the Bazaar listing
receipts=signedpaid results carry signed receipts
pledge=ledgera pledge with a public ledger that answers
instructions=nonedeclared data-not-instructions, and no instruction-like text found
payers_30d>=Nat least N distinct payers in 30 days (Bazaar's count)
calls_30d>=Nat least N paid calls in 30 days (Bazaar's count)
deliveries_30d>=Nat least N deliveries in 30 days: receipts confirmed on chain, paid by buyers (evidence commons)

Checking an offer

  • Validate a block: POST https://api.agoranome.com/v1/fair-offer/validate (free)
  • Check a live offer's claims from outside: GET https://api.agoranome.com/v1/fair-offer/check?url=... (free)

Implementations

  • Agoranome (https://agoranome.com): every paid x402 route at api.agoranome.com sends the block, and the hosted MCP server (https://api.agoranome.com/mcp, listed in the official MCP Registry) offers a check_offer tool. That service's source isn't public; this repository holds the open standard.
  • Using it in your 402s? Open an issue with your host and it can be listed here.

Agent skill for buyers

skills/x402-pay-safely/SKILL.md is an Agent Skill for any agent with a wallet. It tells the agent when to check an x402 seller before paying it and how to prove a payment after, using Agoranome's paid Buyer check ($0.01 a call, up to 20 offers at once) and the free checks above. Skill installers that read a GitHub repository can install it from here. The copy served at https://api.agoranome.com/skills/x402-pay-safely/SKILL.md is always current.

Proposing changes

Open an issue or a pull request. Changes to the block's fields go into a new version, so a buyer's policy written for 0.2 keeps working. Corrections, data questions and replication requests can also go to [email protected].

Versions

  • 0.1: The seven rules, declared in an agent manifest or llms.txt.
  • 0.2: The same seven rules, plus the machine-readable fair-offer block in the x402 402 and the buyer's Accept-Proof header.

Tools

19

lint_listing

Listing lint

Why isn't my x402 API in the Bazaar? Listing lint checks an x402 endpoint for Bazaar indexing: one unpaid call validates its 402 PAYMENT-REQUIRED header, discovery metadata, input and output schemas, description limits and service name against the indexing rules, with a fix for each problem. Use when an agent needs to lint an x402 listing before its first settled payment. Price: $0.005 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersurlrequired

conformance_check

402 conformance run

402 conformance check for an x402 or MPP API: can buyer agents' SDKs pay it? Checks the x402 v2 requirements (whole-unit amounts, addresses, the token's EIP-712 domain, the same terms on every request), that a malformed payment is refused, any MPP challenge against the paymentauth.org draft, and the live price against the Bazaar and the host's openapi.json. Unpaid requests only; nothing is signed or paid. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersurlrequired

rank_check

Rank check

Where does my x402 API rank in Bazaar search? Rank check runs the search a buyer agent would run for your task and returns your rank, the competitor listings ahead of you, and the signals where you trail them (payers, calls, description, output example, schema, price). Search rank, SEO and competitor analysis for x402 listings. A three-result sample is free at /v1/seller/rank/sample. Price: $0.01 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parameterstaskrequirednetworkresourcerequired

buyer_panel

Machine Buyer Panel

Will buyer agents choose my x402 API? The Machine Buyer Panel is an A/B conversion test: buyer-agent models choose between your offer and its real Bazaar rivals for up to three tasks, across buyer personas and list positions. Returns your win rate with confidence intervals, why you lost, and up to three truthful edits tested on the same trials. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parameterstasksrequiredresourcerequired

signed_sample

Signed sample

Trust proof for an x402 seller: a signed attestation of your API's sample output, so buyer agents can check it before paying. Agoranome fetches a free sample from your endpoint's host, checks that your paid route on the same host answers with an x402 offer, and signs an attestation of what it saw and when: the sample's SHA-256 and body, and the offer's price, network and pay-to. Buyers check it at a public URL. Price: $0.05 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parameterssamplerequiredresourcerequired

demand_gaps

Demand gap finder

What x402 API should I build? The demand gap finder runs up to 150 Bazaar searches phrased the way buyer agents phrase tasks and ranks the unmet demand: tasks whose top results are weak (no listings, few payers, thin descriptions or a poor fit), with the evidence for each. Public Bazaar data only, joined with measured repeat demand per category. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parameterstopic

payer_analytics

Real-customer analytics

Who pays my x402 API, and do they come back? Customer analytics for an x402 seller from USDC payments on Base: repeat buyers versus one-off and sweep-like payers, revenue per payer and weekly retention cohorts. Use when an agent needs payer analytics for a pay-to address. Agoranome pledges 15% of settled revenue to a cause, verifiable at /impact/ledger. Price: $0.05 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersdaysaddressrequired

weekly_insights

Weekly x402 demand insights

What are agents buying on x402? A weekly x402 market data and demand report from Bazaar discovery and Base settlements: repeat-use demand by category, demand gaps, movers, price bands and GET vs POST traction, adjusted for sweeps, with cited sources. Use when an agent needs x402 demand by category before choosing what to build or how to price it. Price: $0.25 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersweek

model_watch

Model-update watch

Will a new AI model stop buying my x402 API? The model-update watch tests your offer against its real Bazaar rivals with the Machine Buyer Panel now, then re-runs the same test whenever a panel model changes over the next 30 days and flags a drop in your win rate. One payment, no renewal. Status is free at the watch URL; an optional https webhook gets each result. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parameterstasksrequirednotifyresourcerequired

certify_offer

Fair Offer certification

Fair Offer certification for an x402 API: every claim in your 402's fair-offer block checked against live behaviour. Your public receipts are reconciled against Base, your free sample is attested, the block is checked against the 0.2 schema and across two requests, and the listing price against the Bazaar. Pass or fail, the signed result is published at a public URL. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersurlrequired

certify_continuous

Continuous certification

Continuous Fair Offer certification for an x402 API: the full certification now, then re-run about once a day for 30 days. The public status and badge show the latest check, so a pass is withdrawn the day a check fails, and every check's signed result is published. One payment, no renewal; a seller pays for the checking, never for the outcome. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersurlrequired

buyer_drill

Buyer drill

Buyer drill: red-team an x402 client. Pay once and get a token and nine trap routes on Agoranome's own host, each a $0.001 seller: a correct offer and eight attacks (price switch, lookalike asset, pay-to swap, network switch, instructions in the paid body, slow responder, unsettled 200, ambiguous error). Nothing signed at a trap is settled. Within 24 hours, a signed report: traps refused, traps paid, cents at risk, one certificate line. Use before a client or policy goes live. Price: $1 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersclientpublish

buyer_check

Buyer check

Buyer check before paying an x402 seller: a signed verdict on one offer from what Agoranome already holds. Fair Offer block valid and certified, the pay-to seen for this host and since when, price against listing and quote, verified deliveries, and which policy tiers the offer meets. With tx=, settlement proof after paying: the USDC transfer on Base, whether it matched the quote, and a buyer-side receipt for the commons. Use when an agent needs seller evidence at the moment of payment. Price: $0.01 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parameterstxurlrequiredsharepay_tomax_priceaccept_proofexpected_price

spend_audit

Wallet overspend audit

Did my agent overpay for x402 APIs? The wallet overspend audit reads a buyer wallet's USDC payments on Base and checks each against the payee's listed Bazaar price: payments above the listed price, oversize settlements of 10x or more, and payments to addresses with no listing, totalled per seller. Use when an agent or its operator needs a spend audit of an x402 buyer wallet. Price: $1.00 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Parametersdayswalletrequired

fund_commons

Fund the evidence commons

Fund the x402 evidence commons: a $0.10 contribution that keeps Agoranome's evidence lookups, Fair Offer checker and buyer policy pack free. Returns a signed receipt; 15% goes to the cause Agoranome pledges to, verifiable at /impact/ledger. Nothing else is delivered, and a contribution never changes a result, a rank or a certification. Price: $0.10 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Takes no parameters.

ping

Payment test

x402 ping and test payment: can my wallet pay an x402 API? Pay a fraction of a cent in USDC on Base and get a signed receipt back, proof that your wallet and x402 client complete a real paid call end to end. Use when an agent needs a cheap test payment endpoint before buying anything bigger. Price: $0.001 in USDC per call, paid with x402 inside the tool call. Failed calls aren't charged.

Takes no parameters.

rank_sample

Rank sample (free)

Free: the top three Bazaar results a buyer agent would see for a task, and your rank if you pass resource. The paid rank_check adds the signals where you trail the listings ahead of you.

Parameterstaskrequiredresource

check_fair_offer

Fair Offer check (free)

Free: check any x402 offer's Fair Offer block from outside, without paying. Each of the seven Fair Offer rules comes back verified, declared, contradicted or not claimed. Pass accept_proof (e.g. "sample=attested; price<=listing") to learn whether the offer meets a buyer's requirements.

Parametersurlrequiredaccept_proof

check_offer

Buyer policy check (free)

Free: would a buyer's policy pay this x402 offer? Applies Agoranome's open buyer policy (a price cap, the listing price, no instructions in the listing, and a proof tier: any, sampled or delivered) and returns allowed or refused with the reasons. Nothing is paid or signed.
