Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant edit photos by description: remove or replace backgrounds, upscale, change objects, or generate images.

What it does
Edytro is a remote AI image editor exposed as MCP tools. upload_image stores an image and returns a public URL; edit_image edits or generates from a text description; remove_background cuts out a clean or transparent background; upscale_image returns a higher-resolution version; get_task polls an asynchronous task until it finishes and returns the finished image URL hosted on Edytro's CDN. Failed tasks are refunded automatically.
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to produce or retouch images without leaving the chat: cutting out subjects, enlarging low-resolution photos, or applying described changes such as swapping objects or clothing. It fits occasional image work rather than bulk or fully offline editing.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at connected over streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE); per-user API keys are available for personal use. An Edytro account with credits is needed, since edit and background or upscale operations consume credits. Network access is required.
Before you install
Tool calls are scoped to the connected account and its credits, and paid operations consume them: edit_image costs 6-32 credits, remove_background and upscale_image cost 3 each. upload_image stores an image and returns a public URL, so uploaded content is hosted on Edytro's CDN and should not be private or sensitive. Review the pricing, privacy policy and terms before use.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Edytro in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
