Free DeFi yield data: APY/TVL for 60+ chains, 10,000+ pools via DefiLlama. Zero deps, MIT.
The publisher's own server: Feegate AI Agent data marketplace catalog & platform metrics
Overview
Free local MCP server that gives an assistant live DeFi yield data — APY and TVL for pools across 60+ chains via DefiLlama.
- What you can do
- List chains that have yield pools, ranked by TVL
- Fetch top pools by TVL with filters for chain, minimum TVL and stablecoin-only, including total, base and reward APY, 30-day mean and impermanent-loss risk
- Retrieve every pool for a single protocol across chains
- Results are cached server-side for five minutes
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant should answer questions about DeFi yields, such as the highest-APY pools on a chain, stablecoin farms above a TVL threshold, or how one protocol's APY compares across chains.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local process started with Node.js 18 or newer; no npm install, no API key and no account. It calls the public DefiLlama yields API, so network access is needed. Configured by pointing an MCP client at the local index.js file.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Feegate Yield MCP - Free DeFi APY/TVL data in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

🚀 Brought to you by Feegate — the x402 data marketplace where AI agents buy data per call in USDC on Base. Free tools, paid data, no API keys: feegate.org
Why
AI agents (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, custom agents) increasingly need live DeFi yield data — "which pools pay the best APY on Base?", "show me stablecoin farms above $50M TVL". This MCP server gives any MCP-compatible client that ability in one config line, for free.
It also demonstrates the Feegate thesis: data should be something an agent can discover, price and call — not something a human has to subscribe to.
Tools
Results are cached 5 minutes server-side. Each pool includes apy_base vs apy_reward split so agents can avoid unsustainable incentive APYs.
Install (Claude Code / CLI)
Cursor / Claude Desktop (mcpServers JSON)
No npm install needed — plain Node.js, zero dependencies.
Example questions your agent can now answer
- "What are the top 10 yield pools on Base by TVL, and which ones are stablecoin?"
- "Compare Aave v3 APY across chains"
- "Find stablecoin pools above $50M TVL with the highest base APY (not incentives)"
About Feegate
Feegate turns your data into a product AI agents pay for themselves:
- x402 v2 payment protocol — HTTP
402 Payment Required+ USDC on Base mainnet (EIP-3009, gas sponsored) - No accounts, no API keys, no subscriptions — one HTTP round trip per micropayment
- Listed in the official MCP Registry as
io.github.BrianTian818/feegate-yield-mcp(registry.modelcontextprotocol.io); the paid marketplace it complements runs at feegate.org/mcp - 20 free self-serve tools (endpoint health check, pricing calculator, GEO generator, launch checklist): feegate.org
This MCP server is free forever. If your agent needs data beyond DeFi yields — market data, research, rankings, monitoring — that's what Feegate sells, per call, in USDC.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
