One memory for every AI: Claude, ChatGPT and more share a memory that lives on your computer.

The publisher's own server: Memory.fit

Overview

AI-generated overview

MemoryComb is a local memory library that lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AIs read and write one shared memory stored on your own computer.

What you can do
  • Read and write a shared memory that several AIs use, so context carries across assistants
  • Import what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok already know about you into that memory
  • Check memories for hidden instructions before any AI reads them, and let AIs fact-check each other with you settling disagreements
  • Review receipts for every read and an AI Scorecard showing which AI's facts turned out wrong
  • Share one memory with teammates from the computer that started the shared project
  • Manage it from a local dashboard, including encrypted daily backups to your own iCloud Drive or OneDrive
When to use it
Worth adding if you switch between several AI assistants and are tired of re-explaining your context each time, or want a memory store that stays on your machine with some oversight of what each AI contributed.
Requirements
Runs as a local process on Mac or Windows (Windows is newer and in early testing). Installed via an .mcpb extension in the Claude app, or an install script in Terminal or PowerShell; no admin password needed. A local dashboard is served at 127.0.0.1:8765. No API keys or environment variables are declared.
Before you install
Early test software provided as is; memories and AI answers can be wrong, so verify anything important. It writes to its own memory folder and creates encrypted backups in your iCloud Drive or OneDrive. Memory leaves your computer only if you enable sharing for ChatGPT or teammates, and team sharing works only while the host computer is on. It checks for updates online once a day. The Claude app shows a not-verified warning for the extension.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open MemoryComb in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

MemoryComb

One memory. Every AI. Your whole team.

MemoryComb is a memory library that lives on your computer. Claude, ChatGPT and your other AIs all read and write the same memory, so you stop re-explaining yourself every time you switch AIs. Every read has a receipt, and an AI Scorecard shows which AI's facts turned out wrong.

Built to be trusted: every memory is checked for hidden instructions before any AI reads it, your AIs can fact-check each other (you settle any disagreement), and your memory stays on your computer with encrypted backups to your own iCloud Drive or OneDrive.

This page has the downloads only. MemoryComb is in early testing on Mac and Windows (Windows is newer: tell us what breaks).

Install (pick one)

By installing MemoryComb you agree to the License. Please also read the Privacy Policy.

If you use the Claude app (easiest)

  1. Download memorycomb-*.mcpb from the latest release.
  2. Double-click it. Claude opens its install screen; click Install. Claude shows a red "not verified" warning for every extension that isn't in its directory yet. What MemoryComb touches: only its own memory folder on your computer (~/.memorycomb) and an encrypted daily backup in your iCloud Drive (Mac) or OneDrive (Windows).
  3. Start a new chat and ask: "What's in my MemoryComb?"

Mac: Terminal (Claude Code, ChatGPT and everything else)

bash
curl -fsSL https://github.com/BryceBlackRoot/memorycomb/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh

Windows: PowerShell (early test)

powershell
irm https://github.com/BryceBlackRoot/memorycomb/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iex

It installs MemoryComb for your user only (no admin password), starts it at login, and opens the dashboard's Get started page.

After installing

Your dashboard is at http://127.0.0.1:8765 (it only opens on your own computer). From there:

  • Get started: tap the AI you're connecting.
  • Import: bring in what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok already know about you.
  • Team: share one memory with the people you work with (test version: runs while your computer is on).

Privacy

Your memory never leaves your computer unless you switch on sharing (for ChatGPT or teammates). MemoryComb goes online only to check for a newer version once a day (it asks for the version number, nothing else) and for sharing you switch on.

Free

MemoryComb is free. Everything is included: unlimited memories, every AI, every trust feature, and team sharing. No trial, nothing to buy, and nothing is ever deleted. Team sharing runs from the computer of whoever starts the shared project, so teammates can reach it while that computer is on.

Uninstall

bash
~/.local/bin/memorycomb uninstall

On Windows: memorycomb uninstall in PowerShell. This removes the app and its login item but keeps your memory in ~/.memorycomb. In the Claude app, remove the extension under Settings › Extensions.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
