Bhutan Land Plots & Thram (NLCS cadastre)
io.github.BumiAtlasPublished by GitHub account BumiAtlasv1.0.0Updated Nov 1, 2026
Bhutan NLCS cadastral plots by plotid, thram or coordinates: land type, class, ownership type.
Overview
Remote MCP server for Bhutan's NLCS cadastre: look up land plots by plotid, thram number or coordinates and view them on maps.
- What you can do
- Search cadastral plots by plotid, thram number with dzongkhag and gewog, NHDCL or LUC number, or latitude and longitude
- Retrieve the full record across NLCS layers: land type, land class, ownership type, rural or urban, and recorded area in acres
- Return plot boundaries as GeoJSON on request
- Render satellite or street map images of a plot or point with neighbouring plots outlined and labelled by plotid
- When to use it
- Useful for land research in Bhutan: identifying which plot sits at a coordinate, checking land type, class or ownership, sizing a plot, or seeing a plot and its neighbours on imagery. Best suited to research and orientation rather than official land-record decisions.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint added as a custom connector in an MCP client; sign-in with a Google account via OAuth is required. No local runtime, packages or environment variables are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Bhutan Land Plots & Thram (NLCS cadastre) in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.BumiAtlas%2Fbhutan-land-plots/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Bhutan Land Plots & Thram MCP (NLCS cadastre)
Connect your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to BumiAtlas for Bhutanese land research through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
This listing is a focused entry point for:
- Bhutan's cadastral plots from the National Land Commission Secretariat (NLCS) on the NSDI portal: ~238k national plot boundaries and the attributed cadastre
- Plot lookup by plotid ("GNG-2522", "BHU-2832"), by thram (land record) number within a dzongkhag and gewog, or by coordinates
- Land type (Chhuzhing wetland, Kamzhing dryland, Residential Land, orchards such as Cardamom or Oranges), land class, ownership type (family, individual, government, religious, community, state land), Rural/Urban and the recorded area in acres
- State land surrendered to the government or on lease, and National Housing Development Corporation (NHDCL) plots
- Satellite and street map images of a plot and its neighbours, labelled by plotid
The attributed cadastre is loaded for 6 of 20 dzongkhags so far (Sarpang, Gelephu, Dagana, Tsirang, Trongsa, Zhemgang); elsewhere a plot has its boundary and area only.
Connect
Add it as a custom connector in any MCP client and sign in with Google. Tools, examples and data notes: bumiatlas.com/mcp-docs/bhutan.
- Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, then Connect.
- ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode, then Create with the URL and OAuth authentication.

- "Look up plot BHU-2832 and show it on satellite imagery with its neighbours."
- "Is this plot private land or state land? Has any of it been surrendered?"
- "How big is plot TOM-3171 in acres and decimals?"

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
