io.github.BumiAtlasPublished by GitHub account BumiAtlasv1.0.0Updated Nov 1, 2026
PNG mining tenements, logging concessions, RSPO palm oil and census villages by point, code or name.
Overview
BumiAtlas remote MCP server for looking up Papua New Guinea mining tenements, logging concessions, palm oil sites and census villages by point, code or name.
- What you can do
- Search mining tenements, forestry concessions and RSPO palm oil sites by latitude/longitude, tenement code, name or holder, with full records and GeoJSON boundaries on request
- Look up census villages by name, narrowed by province, district or LLG, or by nearby coordinates, including population
- Retrieve titleholder and equity details for exploration licences, mining leases, special mining leases, alluvial leases and easements
- Return forestry concession type, plan id, dates, area and lifecycle remarks
- When to use it
- Useful for land-use research in Papua New Guinea: checking which tenements or concessions cover a coordinate, who holds a licence code, or which villages and populations sit near a location. Suited to analysts, researchers and journalists rather than legal or cadastral work.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint at bumiatlas.com added as a custom connector in an MCP client; OAuth sign-in with a Google account is required. No local runtime, packages or API keys are declared.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Papua New Guinea Mining Tenements, Concessions & Villages in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.BumiAtlas%2Fpapuanewguinea-concessions/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

Papua New Guinea Mining Tenements, Logging Concessions & Villages MCP
Connect your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to BumiAtlas for Papua New Guinea land-use research through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
This listing is a focused entry point for:
- Mining tenements from the Mineral Resources Authority's ~2015 Landfolio export and a ~2013 snapshot: exploration licences, mining leases, special mining leases (Panguna, Ok Tedi, Lihir, Porgera), alluvial leases and easements, with titleholders and their equity
- Forestry concessions from the PNG Forest Authority, with type, plan id, dates, area and lifecycle remarks
- RSPO-certified palm oil estates, smallholder blocks and mills
- Census villages with ward, LLG, district, province and population
- Lookup by point, tenement code (
EL 1279), name or holder
PNG has no public parcel cadastre: most land is customary. Tenement data stops at the snapshots: a licence past its expiry may since have been renewed or lapsed.
Connect
Add it as a custom connector in any MCP client and sign in with Google. Tools, examples and data notes: bumiatlas.com/mcp-docs/papuanewguinea.
- Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, then Connect.
- ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode, then Create with the URL and OAuth authentication.
