Voice Audio MCP server. Tools: text to speech, list voices, transcribe. Built by MEOK AI Labs.
Overview
Local MCP server for voice and audio work: text-to-speech, voice listing, transcription, language detection and audio analysis.
- What you can do
- Generate speech from text and list available voices
- Transcribe audio to text
- Analyze audio, detect its language and estimate duration
- Runs locally over stdio and is configured in the MCP client with uvx or the installed command
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant should turn text into spoken audio, transcribe recordings, or inspect an audio file's language and length without leaving the chat client. It is a local, desktop-only tool, so it suits individual work on your own machine rather than shared or web-hosted setups.
- Requirements
- A local Python environment on a desktop machine; install the voice-audio-mcp package from PyPI (pip) or run it with uvx, then register it in the MCP client config with stdio transport. No accounts, API keys, environment variables or headers are declared. The README mentions Kokoro TTS and Whisper STT integration, which may need additional local models or downloads.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Voice Audio Mcp in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
