Hostex PMS via MCP: properties, reservations, availability, messages, reviews, and webhooks.
Overview
Stayport's local MCP server; no sign-in required; STDIO.
No AI overview yet: these facts come from the registry entry and the server itself.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Stayport in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
stayport
stayport talks to a Hostex property-management account from the
terminal and from MCP clients: properties and room types,
reservations (including direct-booking creation, cancellation,
lock codes, and per-stay custom fields), availability, guest
conversations, reviews, webhooks, listing calendars and prices,
custom channels, and income methods. One binary serves a
command-line interface and a stdio MCP server, exposing the same
23 operations as hostex_* tools.
Two credentials are involved. Every v3 API call sends a
Hostex-Access-Token header whose value comes from the
HOSTEX_ACCESS_TOKEN environment variable; calls go to
https://api.hostex.io/v3 unless HOSTEX_API_URL overrides the
base URL. When the token is not set, commands fail with an error
that names the env var — stayport never invents a result. The
guest-review operation is the one exception to the token flow: it
posts through the Hostex web app, so it logs in with
HOSTEX_EMAIL and HOSTEX_PASSWORD (optionally overriding the
web base URL, default https://hostex.io/api, with
HOSTEX_WEB_API_URL) and fails the same honest way when they are
unset.
A v3 call counts as successful only when the response envelope
reports error_code 200; the envelope's data is what you get
back. Any other envelope is an error carrying the upstream
error_msg and request_id.
Install
Or run the container image:
The container defaults to the MCP server (see below). Pass CLI
arguments to use it as a CLI instead, and pass the env vars above
with -e so the server can reach your account.
CLI
The guest-review command additionally needs the web-app login:
Successful commands print the response data as JSON. Exit
codes: 0 on success, 1 when a call fails (missing credential,
upstream envelope error, network failure), 2 for usage errors.
Amounts on reservation creation are in cents, exactly as the
Hostex API takes them; listing prices are passed through in the
shape the API expects.
MCP server
One bin serves both faces. The mcp subcommand starts a stdio
MCP server:
MCP client configuration:
Add HOSTEX_EMAIL and HOSTEX_PASSWORD to that env block if
you want the guest-review tool to work; the other 22 tools only
need the access token.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
