Official statistics for AI agents: Eurostat, World Bank, OECD, IMF and WHO data for 150+ countries.
Overview
Lets an assistant search and pull official statistics and economic indicators from Eurostat, World Bank, OECD, IMF and WHO for 150+ countries.
- What it does
- Monitly is a remote MCP server that gives an agent access to official statistical datasets. Tools include search_catalog (hybrid name/code and embedding search with optional country and source filters), inspect_dataset for a quick slice and coverage check, get_dataset for full metadata, execute_sql for read-only SELECT queries over time series, and export_dataset for CSV download links. Account tools cover plans, usage, watchlists, notification preferences and API or MCP key management.
- When to use it
- Use it when an assistant needs authoritative macroeconomic or social indicators, such as comparing inflation, unemployment, GDP growth or government debt across countries, or building a country macro snapshot. It suits research, reporting and analysis that must cite official sources rather than general web results.
- Requirements
- A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at no local runtime needed. A free Monitly account and an MCP key starting with mcpk_, sent as an Authorization Bearer header (or X-API-Key). Initialize, tools/list and ping work without a key; tools/call requires one. Data tools count against a monthly mcp_queries quota.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Monitly in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

📊 Monitly MCP Server – Official Statistics for AI Agents
[MCP] [License] [Monitly] [Docs]
Monitly MCP is a remote Model Context Protocol server that gives Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and any MCP-compatible agent direct access to official statistics and economic indicators – Eurostat, World Bank, OECD, IMF, WHO and national statistical offices – for 150+ countries.
Ask in plain language: the agent finds the right dataset, checks the country coverage and pulls the time series.
Quick start
- Create a free account at monit.ly and generate an MCP key in Settings → Integrations → MCP (direct link). MCP keys start with
