Combined Crypto APIs MCP server — all 14 products in one process

VerifiedStreamable HTTPWeb executableFinanceSecurity & MonitoringData & Analytics

Overview

AI-generated overview

Crypto APIs MCP server exposing blockchain data across 14 products — address history, balances, blocks, fees, contracts, HD wallets, AML checks and market…

What you can do
  • Query address history and latest balances, nonces and tokens across EVM, UTXO, Solana, XRP and Kaspa chains
  • Fetch block details and transaction lists by height or hash, and look up transactions
  • Get fee and gas recommendations, estimate transfer costs, and read contract token details
  • Sync and query HD wallets by extended public key, deriving addresses and balances
  • Run AML risk checks on addresses and screen transactions
  • Create and manage webhook subscriptions for on-chain events, prepare unsigned transactions, and broadcast signed ones
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs on-chain crypto data — balances, transaction history, fees, token metadata or AML risk — for analysis, monitoring or transaction preparation. The combined package suits users who want several Crypto APIs products in one process; single-product packages exist for narrower needs.
Requirements
Node.js 18+ for the local npm package, or the hosted remote endpoint over HTTP Streamable. A Crypto APIs account and API key, supplied via the CRYPTOAPIS_API_KEY environment variable or the x-api-key header. Network access to Crypto APIs.
Before you install
Every API call consumes paid Crypto APIs credits, so usage costs money; the server warns that requests without a valid API key may get your IP banned. Broadcast submits signed transactions to the network and requires confirmation with a one-time token. Webhook subscriptions persist until deleted and send event data to your callback URL. HD wallet syncing sends extended public keys to Crypto APIs; private keys stay local, and signing is a separate package.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open CryptoAPIs IO in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect x-api-key credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.CryptoAPIs-io%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Prerequisites

Usage

bash
npx @cryptoapis-io/mcp --api-key YOUR_API_KEY

Or via environment variable:

bash
export CRYPTOAPIS_API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEYnpx @cryptoapis-io/mcp

Cursor

Add to .cursor/mcp.json:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "cryptoapis": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "@cryptoapis-io/mcp"],      "env": {        "CRYPTOAPIS_API_KEY": "your_api_key_here"      }    }  }}

VS Code

Add to .vscode/mcp.json:

json
{  "servers": {    "cryptoapis": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "@cryptoapis-io/mcp"],      "env": {        "CRYPTOAPIS_API_KEY": "your_api_key_here"      }    }  }}

Remote MCP Server

Crypto APIs also hosts this same combined server over HTTP Streamable transport at https://ai.cryptoapis.io/mcp — no installation required. Pass your API key via the x-api-key header with each request:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "cryptoapis": {      "url": "https://ai.cryptoapis.io/mcp",      "headers": {        "x-api-key": "your_api_key_here"      }    }  }}

HTTP Transport (self-hosted)

bash
npx @cryptoapis-io/mcp --transport http --api-key YOUR_API_KEY

See the main README for the full list of CLI arguments, HTTP API key modes, and exposing the server beyond localhost.

Only need a few products?

Install just the packages you use instead of the combined server:

bash
npx @cryptoapis-io/mcp-block-data --api-key YOUR_API_KEY

See docs for the full API reference.

Important: API Key Required

Warning: Making requests without a valid API key — or with an incorrect one — may result in your IP being banned from the Crypto APIs ecosystem. Always ensure a valid API key is configured before starting the server.

blockchain_events__blockchain_events_create

Create a webhook subscription for on-chain events. When the specified event occurs, CryptoAPIs sends a POST request to your callbackUrl with the event data. Subscriptions persist until deleted. Event types (supported blockchains vary per type — an invalid blockchain for the chosen eventType is rejected before calling the API): • address-coins-transactions-unconfirmed: fires when an unconfirmed coin transaction touches the address • address-coins-transactions-confirmed: fires once a coin transaction confirms (optionally on an exact confirmation via receiveCallbackOn) • address-coins-transactions-confirmed-each-confirmation: fires on every confirmation up to confirmationsCount (required) • address-tokens-transactions-confirmed: fires once a token transfer confirms • address-tokens-transactions-confirmed-each-confirmation: fires on every confirmation up to confirmationsCount (required) • address-internal-transactions-confirmed: fires once a confirmed internal (contract-internal) transaction touches the address • address-internal-transactions-confirmed-each-confirmation: fires on every confirmation up to confirmationsCount (required) • block-mined: fires on every new block (no address field) All event types except block-mined require an address. Note: 'create' actions require confirmation. They return a preview with a one-time token instead of executing immediately. Credits per call: 30 Credits are indicative only and may change at any time. The actual credits spent for each API request are returned in the response headers.
