Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant search 35,000+ live radio stations worldwide, pick random ones by country, genre or mood, and check what is playing now.

What you can do
  • Search live radio stations by keyword, country, city, genre or language, with direct listen and map links
  • Pick a random station by spinning a 3D globe, optionally filtered by country, genre or mood such as late night or focus
  • Read a station's profile: location, local time, codec and bitrate, Wikipedia summary, listener stats and similar stations
  • Check a station's current track or show title from live stream metadata, with a sampling timestamp
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to discover or listen to live radio from a particular place, genre or time-of-day mood, or asks what a specific station is playing right now.
Requirements
Remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at roamdial.com/mcp with no authentication or API key. Clients that only support local stdio can use an npx bridge, which needs Node.js 18 or later. Network access is required.
Before you install
All tools are read-only and no credentials are requested. Listener stats are RoamDial's own deduplicated IP samples, not total audience, and probe latency is not playback startup time; an unavailable now-playing result does not mean the station is offline. The server asks that returned listen or map links be shown with RoamDial attribution.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open RoamDial — World Radio Map in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.DDTer%2Froamdial/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

RoamDial MCP Server — Live World Radio on a 3D Globe

[Glama MCP Connector] [MCP Registry] [License: MIT] [Website]

RoamDial is a free, ad-free interactive 3D world radio map with 35,000+ verified live radio streams across 215 countries and territories.

This repository provides the official Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration for RoamDial:

  1. Direct Remote Streamable HTTP Server (https://roamdial.com/mcp) — zero install, no API key or authentication required.
  2. Lightweight Local stdio Bridge (npx -y github:ddter/roamdial-mcp) — zero-dependency Node.js wrapper for local-only MCP clients.

Quick Start

Option 1: Remote Streamable HTTP (Recommended — Zero Install)

Point any MCP client supporting Streamable HTTP (2025-06-18 / 2025-03-26 / 2026-07-28) directly at:

text
https://roamdial.com/mcp
Claude Code
bash
claude mcp add --transport http roamdial https://roamdial.com/mcp
Cursor / VS Code / Windsurf (mcp.json)
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "roamdial": {      "url": "https://roamdial.com/mcp"    }  }}
OpenAI Codex (~/.codex/config.toml)
toml
[mcp_servers.roamdial]url = "https://roamdial.com/mcp"
ChatGPT / Claude.ai Web Connectors

Add https://roamdial.com/mcp under Settings → Connectors (no authentication required).

Option 2: Local stdio Bridge (claude_desktop_config.json)

For MCP clients that only support local stdio processes (requires Node.js >= 18):

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "roamdial": {      "command": "npx",      "args": ["-y", "github:ddter/roamdial-mcp"]    }  }}

Available MCP Tools (4 Tools)

All tools are read-only, require no authentication, and return both human-readable Markdown (content) and machine-typed JSON (structuredContent + outputSchema), including direct one-click listening URLs (listenUrl and 3D globe mapUrl).
