100 systems and hardware engineering skills for requirements, interfaces, budgets and verification.
Overview
Local MCP server bundling 100 systems and hardware engineering skills for requirements, interfaces, budgets and verification work.
- What you can do
- Clean, extract and map requirements from spreadsheets and PDFs, and derive or compare parent and child requirements
- Review requirements against ECSS editions, find conflicts, and build verification matrices or assess test results
- Review electrical and mechanical interfaces, and build power and mass budgets with margins
- Review environmental qualification coverage, FMEA omissions, DO-254 assurance evidence and tender compliance matrices
- Compare specification versions and produce change registers with verification impacts
- When to use it
- Useful for systems and hardware engineers who want an assistant to work through requirement registers, interface specifications, budgets, verification evidence and standards reviews inside a dedicated local folder.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio via uvx from the arc-engineering-mcp PyPI package; needs Python 3.11+ and uv. The environment variable ARC_ENGINEERING_WORKSPACE must point to an existing dedicated folder for inputs and outputs. No model API key is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Arc Skills in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

🔒 Your files
The local MCP processes files in your chosen folder without uploading them to an external server. Your assistant and its AI provider still process the content used in the conversation. ChatGPT uploads follow ChatGPT's policies. Data flow →
The skills and code are free under the MIT license. Your AI assistant may have its own charges. Standards are not bundled; provide authorized copies when needed. Engineering edits are proposals for your review, with source wording preserved.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
