Shows what Claude Code, Codex and Cursor load on this computer: MCP servers, plugins, skills, hooks
Overview
A local desktop app that maps and manages the MCP servers, plugins, skills and hooks loaded by Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, with a read-only MCP server for…
- What you can do
- Inspect the MCP servers, plugins, skills, hooks, commands and instruction files each agent loads, and see what one has that another lacks.
- Search the MCP Registry, skills.sh, the Claude plugins marketplace and public GitHub repositories, then add items to chosen agents.
- Route MCP servers through one shared gateway with per-tool switches, for all projects or one.
- Preview every edit before Apply, keep backups, undo changes, and refuse to overwrite files that changed.
- Let an agent report your setup through Kitden's own read-only MCP server.
- When to use it
- Useful when you run several AI coding agents and want one place to see, compare and adjust what each one loads, or to share MCP servers across agents instead of configuring each separately.
- Requirements
- Runs locally on macOS or Linux with uv (or Homebrew), plus at least one of Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. On Linux, libsecret-tools or libsecret is needed for keyring secret storage. No account is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Kitden in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

Everything your agents load, on one map
Claude Code, Codex and Cursor each keep their own settings. Kitden puts their plugins, skills, MCP servers and instruction files on one map, so what one agent has and another lacks shows at a glance. Add what an agent is missing, turn an item off or remove it, on the same page.
[The Library map: Claude Code and Cursor load the superpowers plugin, Codex and Cursor load the frontend-design skill.]Find and add from one place
Search the official MCP Registry, skills.sh, the Claude plugins marketplace and any public GitHub repository without leaving the page. Tick the agents a plugin or skill goes to. An MCP server goes to the gateway, and says first whether it needs a sign-in or a token.
[Two add panels side by side. A search for mcp in skills.sh lists six skills with their installs; mcp-builder is open, with Claude Code and Codex ticked under Add to. A search for linear in the MCP Registry lists six servers; Linear's own is open with a Sign in button, and others say Needs token or Unavailable.]One gateway for your MCP servers
Move a server into the Kitden gateway and every agent you use gets it: set it up once, not once per agent. Every tool has a switch, for all projects or one, and a tool that is off is refused, not just hidden. A token or sign-in is given once and checked before Apply.
[memory in the Kitden gateway shows its nine tools; its three delete tools are turned off on the map and applied for every agent.]Every change can be undone
- Nothing is written until you press Apply. Every change shows a preview first, with the exact edit under Show changes.
- Apply keeps a backup, and Undo puts it back. Changes keeps the history of what you did. If a file changed since, Kitden stops instead of overwriting it.
- Everything stays on your computer. The page runs at 127.0.0.1 behind a private link. No account, no telemetry. Kitden goes online only for the catalogs you open and the remote servers you add.
- Secrets live in the macOS Keychain or your Linux keyring only. The page shows no more than their first and last characters.
- Kitden's agent tools only read. Asking an agent to show your setup changes nothing.
Add only servers and plugins you trust: they run with your permissions.
And more
Get started
Needs macOS or Linux, uv and at
least one of Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. On Linux, install libsecret-tools (Debian,
Ubuntu) or libsecret (Fedora, Arch) so Kitden can keep server secrets in your keyring.
Try it on a sample first. Your own settings are not read or changed:
Install it and open it for your own setup:
Or with Homebrew: brew install konstantinstarovoytov/tap/kitden, then kitden.
Update later with uv tool upgrade kitden or brew upgrade kitden.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
