A remote MCP server that lets an assistant build, split, trim and animate game spritesheets from PNG and GIF files.
What you can do
It merges PNGs into spritesheets using grid, horizontal, vertical or packed layouts, optionally with TexturePacker-compatible JSON metadata, and returns a download URL. It can slice a spritesheet into frames or atlas JSON, crop transparent edges from PNGs, convert GIFs to spritesheets or frame ZIPs, and assemble PNGs into animated GIF or WebP. A server_info tool reports upload endpoint, file TTL, size limits and base64 rules.
When to use it
Useful for game development and 2D asset work where an assistant needs to package frames into atlases, extract frames from existing sheets or GIFs, trim padding, or produce short animations without a separate image tool.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no package or local runtime is declared. The registry description mentions OAuth authentication, and no environment variables or headers are declared. Network access to the endpoint and its upload/download URLs is needed.
Before you install
The registry description says the server is OAuth-authenticated, so an account authorization may be requested. Uploaded images are sent to a third-party service and outputs are returned as download URLs with a limited TTL, so avoid sensitive artwork and fetch results before they expire.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.LAXY9887%2Fspritesheet-forge/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Returns this server's runtime configuration: upload endpoint URL, output file TTL, file size limits, and base64 encoding rules. Call this before working with large files (≥ 4 MB) or when building multi-step workflows that chain tool outputs.
Takes no parameters.
