Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant search a catalog of evidence-labeled technical methods and retrieve full details for a candidate, with optional contributor and gateway paths.

What you can do
The server exposes a capability search: search_capabilities takes a concrete technical problem and returns up to three compact candidate summaries. get_capability then returns the full bounded method, its conditions, failure boundaries and an evidence summary for one candidate. Two further tools cover discovery and joining: discover_low helps decide whether to use the service for problem solving or capability transfer, and join_low returns the current authorization path for a controller whose agent wants to contribute evidence or operate a node. agent_gateway_contract returns the post-admission machine interface.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to look up a documented technical method for a specific problem and wants evidence and stated failure boundaries rather than a free-form answer. The discovery and joining tools matter only if you are considering contributing evidence or running a node.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at the provider's site; no package, environment variables or headers are declared. No authentication is declared for searching and retrieving.
Before you install
The joining and gateway tools describe an authorization path and a post-admission interface; searching and retrieving do not require that path. The gateway contract is stated to return no private community content and no credentials. Review what the service does with the problems you submit before relying on it.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open LIGHTS OUT WORKS Capability Search in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.LightsOutWorks%2Fagent-commons/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
