LocalSynapse is a local MCP server for searching files on your own machine. It combines BM25 keyword ranking with semantic search to find relevant documents across a local collection. It runs as a local process over stdio, so the assistant queries your files directly rather than a hosted service.

Useful when you want an assistant to locate information inside your own documents without uploading them to a cloud service. Suited to offline or privacy-sensitive setups where keyword search alone misses conceptually related content.
