Overview

AI-generated overview

HorizonX MCP server lets an AI coding agent search a premium UI library and export animated components, shaders, templates and UI kits into your project.

What you can do
  • Search HorizonX assets in plain language, including animated UI components, device mockups, image textures and WebGL shaders
  • Export found assets as HTML, Svelte or React code, or as files for landing pages, UI kits, design systems, 3D models and icon libraries
  • Inspect an asset's parameters before exporting and place the generated file where similar components live in the project
  • Follow a bundled skill that teaches the search, inspect, export and place workflow
When to use it
Useful when you build front-end interfaces and want an agent to pull ready-made animated components, shaders, landing page templates or design-system styles into an existing codebase instead of writing them from scratch.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint at horizonx.so over streamable HTTP, with OAuth sign-in through a HorizonX account on first use (no API key to copy). An active HorizonX membership is required. Some clients need the companion plugin or extension installed first.
Before you install
Requires a paid HorizonX membership and an account sign-in via OAuth. The server exports code and files into your project, so review generated components before committing them. The README notes the plugin sends data, so check its privacy details before use.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open HorizonX — Premium UI Library in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.Mdx2025%2Fhorizonx/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

README

HorizonX plugin for AI coding agents

Search HorizonX in plain language and drop the result straight into your code: animated UI components, device mockups, image textures and WebGL shaders exported as HTML, Svelte or React, plus landing pages, UI kits, design systems, 3D models and open-source icon libraries as files.

The plugin bundles two things:

  • The HorizonX MCP server (https://horizonx.so/api/mcp). You sign in with your HorizonX account the first time your agent uses it; there is no key to copy.
  • The horizonx skill, which teaches the agent the workflow: search, inspect the parameters, export in your project's framework and place the file where similar components live.

An active HorizonX membership is required.

Install

Claude Code

/plugin marketplace add Mdx2025/horizonx-agent-plugin/plugin install horizonx@horizonx

Then run /mcp, pick horizonx and sign in.

Codex

codex plugin marketplace add Mdx2025/horizonx-agent-plugincodex plugin add horizonx@horizonxcodex mcp login horizonx

Cursor

Cursor reads this plugin as an Agent Plugin. Until it is listed in the Cursor Marketplace, copy plugins/horizonx to ~/.cursor/plugins/local/horizonx, reload the window and sign in when Cursor asks. To add only the MCP server, use the Add to Cursor button on horizonx.so/mcp.

Gemini CLI

gemini extensions install https://github.com/Mdx2025/horizonx-agent-plugin

Claude.ai and ChatGPT

HorizonX is listed in the Claude connectors directory and in ChatGPT apps. Open the listing, connect it and sign in with your HorizonX account.

Any other MCP client

horizonx.so/mcp has the setup for VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Claude.ai, ChatGPT and others.

Try it

  • "Use HorizonX to add an animated hero background to this page."
  • "Use HorizonX to find a before-and-after image slider and add it as a React component."
  • "Use HorizonX to find a SaaS landing page template."
  • "Use HorizonX to build this dashboard in the style of a HorizonX design system, following its DESIGN.md."

mcp.json has no extensions["com.openai"].auth block on purpose: Codex 0.163.0 drops a plugin MCP server that carries any extensions key. Codex discovers HorizonX's OAuth from the server, so nothing is lost.
