Query a folder of CSV / Parquet / JSON files with SQL — one queryable source, read-only.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Local MCP server that exposes a folder of CSV, Parquet and JSON files as read-only SQL tables an assistant can query.

What you can do
  • Query a folder of CSV, Parquet and JSON files with SQL through a single read-only source.
  • Preview rows from the exposed tables, with the number of rows per result capped by configuration.
  • Control which files are exposed by pointing the server at a data directory and optionally including subdirectories.
When to use it
Useful when you have a directory of flat data files and want an assistant to answer questions by running SQL over them instead of reading files one by one. Suited to local, read-only analysis of CSV, Parquet or JSON exports.
Requirements
Runs as a local stdio process installed from the PyPI package tablebridge, so a Python environment is needed. Configure TABLEBRIDGE_DATA_DIR to set the sandboxed data directory; TABLEBRIDGE_MAX_ROWS caps rows per query or preview and TABLEBRIDGE_RECURSIVE (1/0) enables scanning subdirectories. No authentication is declared.
Before you install
The server is read-only and sandboxed to the configured data directory, but everything in that directory becomes queryable, so avoid pointing it at folders holding sensitive files. Query results are sent to the assistant model, and TABLEBRIDGE_MAX_ROWS limits how much data leaves the machine per query.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
