Phone number validation, formatting, carrier, line type and timezone
Overview
Remote MCP server for PhoneKit that lets an assistant validate, format and enrich phone numbers with carrier, line type and timezone data.
- What you can do
- Validate phone numbers and check whether they are well formed and reachable in the expected format.
- Format and normalize numbers into standard representations.
- Look up carrier, line type and timezone details for a number.
- Tools are generated from the API's REST routes, so the assistant sees each endpoint as a callable tool.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs to check or clean phone numbers in signup forms, contact lists or CRM data, or to enrich a number with carrier and region context before acting on it.
- Requirements
- A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no local runtime or package. Requires a RapidAPI subscription to PhoneKit (a free plan is available) and two custom headers: X-RapidAPI-Key with your key and X-RapidAPI-Host. Network access to the RapidAPI host is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open PhoneKit in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect Custom headers credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.OlsOls4%2Fphonekit/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

Developer utility APIs + remote MCP servers
Thirteen small, focused REST APIs for everyday developer jobs: validating emails, phones and IBANs, IP geolocation, PDFs, images, QR codes, fraud scoring, token counting and more. Each one is its own product on RapidAPI with a free plan, full OpenAPI docs, and a built-in remote MCP server so AI agents (Claude, Cursor, VS Code, n8n, LangChain) can call it as tools.
- Free tier on every API: subscribe on RapidAPI, copy your key, call it.
- MCP built in: every API exposes Streamable HTTP MCP at
https://<host>.p.rapidapi.com/mcp, and each is listed in the official MCP Registry asio.github.OlsOls4/<kit>. - No heavy dependencies on your side: plain HTTPS + JSON from any language or no-code tool.

Quickstart (REST)
Swap the host for any API in the table. Every request goes through RapidAPI with X-RapidAPI-Key and X-RapidAPI-Host.
Quickstart (MCP)
Add any API as a remote MCP server in a client that supports Streamable HTTP with custom headers, for example:
The server answers tools/list with that API's endpoints as tools.
What's in this repo
main.pyand one folder per API (webkit, domainkit, qrkit, ...): the FastAPI service behind all listings.mcpserver.py: the MCP layer that turns each API's routes into tools.openapi/: OpenAPI specs for each API.mcp-registry/:server.jsonfiles published to the official MCP Registry.
Data and licences
GeoIP and FraudKit use DB-IP Lite (CC BY 4.0). UK PostcodeKit uses OS Code-Point Open (Open Government Licence v3.0; contains OS data © Crown copyright and database right). PhoneKit uses Google libphonenumber (Apache 2.0). Full attributions are in each API's docs on RapidAPI.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
