Search US business entity records across all 53 jurisdictions in real time
Overview
Searches US business entity registrations across 53 jurisdictions in real time, letting an assistant look up LLCs and corporations and check their status.
- What you can do
- Search business entities by name and state, returning name, ID, status, type, registered agent and address
- Check whether an entity is active, inactive or dissolved, oriented toward KYB and due diligence
- Run batch searches of up to 10 entities across different states at once
- List all 53 supported jurisdictions, or get the jurisdictions for a US region such as northeast or southwest
- When to use it
- Useful for compliance, KYB, due diligence, legal or lending work where you need to confirm that a company is registered and in good standing in a given US state, or to check several vendors across states in one pass.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint, or the npm package run through npx for Claude Desktop or Claude Code. An OpenSOSData account and API key are required: passed as the OPENSOSDATA_API_KEY environment variable locally, or as a Bearer token in the Authorization header for the remote server. OAuth authentication is declared.
Installation

Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.OpenSOSData%2Fmcp-server/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

matching entities across all three states with their current status.
