Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Tasks and Contacts for agents, with your own Google login
Overview
Local MCP server that lets an assistant work with your own Google Workspace account: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Tasks and Contacts.
- What you can do
- Check login status and available scopes
- Search, read, send, reply, forward, draft, label and trash Gmail messages
- List, create and delete Calendar events and check free/busy times
- Search, read, upload and share Drive files
- Read, append, update and upsert Google Sheets rows
- List, add and complete Tasks, and search or manage Contacts and groups
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to triage email, schedule meetings, look up or edit spreadsheets and Drive files, or manage tasks and contacts inside your own Google account rather than a shared service account.
- Requirements
- Runs locally over stdio, launched with uvx from the gsuite-mcp PyPI package. Needs a Google Cloud OAuth client JSON file, a one-time login through the gsuite CLI that writes tokens.db, and the absolute paths in GSUITE_TOKEN_DB_PATH (required) and GSUITE_CREDENTIALS_FILE. GSUITE_DEFAULT_TIMEZONE is optional. Marketing tools need opt-in scopes and their APIs enabled.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Google Workspace (gsuite-sdk) in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
gsuite-mcp
An MCP server for Google Workspace: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Tasks and Contacts, built on gsuite-sdk. It runs locally over stdio and uses your own Google login.
Setup
-
Get an OAuth client file from Google Cloud (guide) and log in once with the gsuite CLI:
The token is saved to
tokens.dbin the current directory (orGSUITE_TOKEN_DB_PATH). -
Add the server to your MCP client, pointing at that token with absolute paths:
Claude Code:
claude mcp add gsuite -e GSUITE_TOKEN_DB_PATH=/Users/you/gsuite/tokens.db -- uvx gsuite-mcp
Tools
Search Console, Analytics and Tag Manager need the opt-in read-only scopes
(--scopes ...,marketing) and their APIs enabled in your Cloud project. A login
replaces the stored scopes, so keep listing the sets you already use.
Read tools are annotated read-only; tools that send, share, overwrite or
delete are marked so clients can ask before running them. Dates are ISO 8601;
times without an offset use GSUITE_DEFAULT_TIMEZONE (UTC by default).
The same capabilities are available as an agent skill, a CLI and a REST API: see gsuite-sdk.

Score
50% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
