Social media scheduler for AI agents: draft posts into a human-approved queue for 15 networks.

Overview

AI-generated overview

Posthell is a remote social media scheduling server that lets an assistant shape notes into post angles, prepare drafts with media, and read post and growth.

What you can do
Shape rough notes into finished social-post angles in the user's voice, grounded only in the notes provided, using one AI generation from the monthly quota. List connected social accounts, account groups, and each network's caption limits, media requirements and settings. Get an upload URL for a local file, then pass the resulting media URL into drafts or posts. Save posts as drafts in the user's queue with media and per-network settings, optionally proposing a publish time; nothing is published by the tool. Read recent posts and drafts with per-network status, live links, failure reasons and engagement metrics. Read follower counts and 7-day growth per network, plus the fastest-growing one.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant helps turn a user's work notes into social posts and stages them for human approval across several networks, or when it needs to check post status and follower growth to decide where a post matters most.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at posthell.com over streamable HTTP. A posthell account and API key are required, sent as a bearer token in the Authorization header; the key is created in the dashboard's Agents tab. Network access is needed, and posting files requires uploading raw bytes to a returned upload URL.
Before you install
The Authorization header carries a posthell API key, so treat it as a secret. Draft creation writes to the user's queue and consumes AI generation quota; publishing is left to human approval in the dashboard. Uploaded files are stored by the service, and post and growth data come from the user's connected social accounts.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Posthell in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect Authorization token credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.Rohan27s%2Fposthell/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Tools

6

shape_post

Shape notes into post angles

Turn rough notes about what the user did (shipped a feature, fixed a bug, hit a number) into 2-3 finished social-post angles in the user's voice. Grounded only in the notes - never invents facts. Uses one AI generation from the user's monthly quota.

Parametersnotesrequired

list_accounts

List connected accounts

The user's connected social accounts (id, network, handle), their account groups (a named set, e.g. one business's Instagram + YouTube), and what each network needs: caption limit, whether it needs a photo or video, and the settings it takes. Call this first, then pass a group name or account handles to create_draft or publish_post.

Takes no parameters.

get_upload_url

Get a URL to upload a photo or video

Use this to post a file from the user's computer (a video you rendered, a photo). Returns uploadUrl and mediaUrl: PUT the raw file bytes to uploadUrl with its Content-Type header (the curl line in the result does it), then pass mediaUrl in the media list of create_draft or publish_post. Files are stored for good, so a draft keeps its video. Up to 50MB. Types: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, MOV, WebM, or PDF.

create_draft

Queue a draft post

Save a post as a DRAFT in the user's posthell queue, with any photos or videos and per-network settings (Instagram Reel cover, YouTube title/tags). Nothing is published by this tool: the user approves it in the dashboard. Optionally propose a publish time. Warnings in the result are what would stop it publishing; fix them by calling again.

list_posts

List recent posts

Read the user's recent posts and drafts with per-network status, the live link once a post is up, and the reason when one failed. Published posts include engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, engagementRate - impressions on plans with full analytics) once analytics have synced. Use it to avoid duplicating a topic AND to learn which topics performed before drafting the next post.

Parameterslimitstatus

get_growth

Get follower growth

The user's follower counts and 7-day growth per connected network, plus which network is growing fastest. Use this to decide where a post matters most or to report progress.

Takes no parameters.
