Overview

AI-generated overview

A local, read-only MCP server that lets an assistant analyze Primavera P6 and MS Project schedules: critical path, float, DCMA 14-point checks, logic checks and

What you can do
Read and analyze P6 and MS Project schedule files, including .xer, MS Project XML and, with Java, .mpp and P6 XML files through MPXJ. Run critical path method (CPM) analysis and float calculations on the schedule. Apply DCMA 14-point and logic checks to flag schedule quality issues. Produce S-curves and other schedule views. Operates read-only by default, with writes gated by a configuration setting.
When to use it
Use it when you need to review, audit or explain a Primavera P6 or MS Project schedule without opening the scheduling software, for example to check schedule quality, float or the critical path before a project review.
Requirements
Runs as a local Python package (longpath) over stdio on a desktop machine. A Java 11+ runtime is needed only for .mpp and P6 XML files, set via JAVA_HOME, with the longpath[mpp] extra installed. Optional configuration through LONGPATH_CONFIG pointing to longpath.toml, or LONGPATH_HOME as the folder searched for it. No authentication declared.
Before you install
The server is described as read-only, but the configuration includes an allow_writes setting, so check that it stays disabled before pointing the assistant at important schedule files. Schedule files may contain confidential project data; they are processed locally, but review what the assistant is asked to do with them.

Installation

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
