Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server giving assistants free, citable snow reports, forecasts and season history for about 400 US and Canadian ski resorts.

What you can do
  • Search resorts by name, slug, region or state code, and list tracked regions
  • Read snow metrics for a resort, region or state: 24h/7d/10d snowfall, season totals, percent of normal, comparison to last year
  • Rank resorts by 24h, 7-day or season-to-date snowfall and pull the latest weekly report summary
  • Generate branded PNG snow cards, 7-day calendars and leaderboards, returned with a stable public URL
  • Look up multi-year snowfall history, monthly averages and the snowiest season for a resort
  • Run OpenAI-compatible search over resorts and regions and fetch full documents by id
When to use it
Useful when someone asks about ski conditions, upcoming snow, how a season compares to normal, or which resorts have the most snow, and you want answers with citation URLs to the public site.
Requirements
Nothing to install: it is a remote streamable HTTP endpoint. No authentication, API keys, environment variables or headers are declared, and no local runtime is needed.
Before you install
Snow figures are modeled or precomputed snapshots rather than official resort measurements, so treat them as estimates. The image tool returns a public, cacheable URL, so generated cards are visible to anyone with the link. No write, send or delete operations are exposed.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Powder to the People Snow Reports in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.SerKnight%2Fpowder-to-the-people-snow-mcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
