Janus Pay for agents: take payments that settle in BSV, refund them, and pay x402 paywalls.
Overview
Janus Pay lets an assistant take BSV-settled payments, issue refunds, and pay x402 paywalls from a local MCP process.
- What you can do
- Take payments that settle in BSV and pay x402 paywalls.
- List your payments and issue refunds using your Janus Pay API key.
- Attach your partner id so checkouts carry your signed notices.
- No individual tools are listed in the manifest, so exact operations are not documented here.
- When to use it
- Worth considering if you want an assistant to handle BSV payments, refunds, or x402 paywall payments as part of an agent workflow, and you already have a Janus Pay account with an API key and partner id.
- Requirements
- Runs as a local stdio process installed from the npm package @janusprotocol/mcp, so Node.js is needed. Requires a Janus Pay API key in JANUS_API_KEY and a partner id in JANUS_PARTNER. Desktop only; no web executable.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Janus Pay in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Score
25% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
